Can we just talk about Jiang Chuan for a second because THIS character is everything. He went from unreliable rich kid to absolute devotee in what, two chapters? And the way he guards his position—glaring at Zhang Yuan and Jiang Qing like they're stealing his thunder, cooking skills as his competitive advantage, the storage ring as his sacred bond with Sister Xun—it's genuinely hilarious and kind of touching. "Stealing my position! These two are definitely here to steal my position!" I SCREAMED. This man is fighting for his life over who gets to serve dinner first. But seriously, the relationship dynamics in this passage are so rich. Su Jin's complete 180—from skeptical vice team leader to someone who now sternly warns Wang Peng to show respect. That arc in literally ONE scene. And Chen Yi, who just goes along with everything because, well, strength is honored above all else in the apocalypse. Then there's Lou Lihan's soul, floating there, watching Chu Zhaoxun with "shock and heartache." He's worried about her, happy that she has abilities now, telling her not to waste resources on him—and completely unaware that his soul is becoming solid. The tragedy and hope layered in that one moment. I'm not crying, you're crying. And Chu Zhaoxun herself—her internal monologue about how she wouldn't actually care if it weren't for the original owner's wish, but then she goes ahead and does it anyway. The gap between what she thinks and what she does? Chef's kiss.
