It started of alright even with a few contradictions but the writing went down hill after 50. It says he is a farmer but doesn't have any farming skills, he doesn't even attempt to plant any herbs, and he eve has a slave workers but doesn't give them any work to do. He uses the farms as a sare space and a storage device then as a farm. The author can't even stay consistent with power levels and just randomly assign them, he forgets that he has the mc kill a sanctuary expert in front of the student body but then has him fight a legendary after telling him that there's a huge gape between the two. I give it a hard pass with poorly written plots and the author not being able to remember or maybe to lazy to double check what he had written.
writing and grammer have a lot of problems. there is little to no character development. the story seems to just bounce around. it introduces new chars without really telling you who they are. the Mc is suppose to be the number 1 genius in his high end college but story doesn't really show his intelligence, more of a barbarian fighter. char is suppose to be a mage but only uses spells sometime most fights are him using 1 skill to one hit kill all bosses that out lvl him by 10+ levels. is the second person to get a gods blessing and become an apostle but the first person to is underpowered
First off, despite the rating this is not by any means a bad story, it has issues but it has qualities of redemption.Firstly the writing quality, I understand English is not everyone's first language but this book screams machine translation. Poor grammar, misspelt words that sound the same vocally abound. Quite frankly I got through half the released chapters (37 actual, 4 Q & As) and was gonna drop it on how badly the engrish became. Honestly author including the abbreviations and the full word in several places shows a distinct lack of proof reading.Story Development, decent if rushed. Typical zombie apocalypse yet there is literally tons of unanswered questions on how John spreads the virus worldwide from one hick town.Character Design, I literally dislike everyone. John, Dixie, Alexia, Alice, James, Candice... all prime characters who lack any relatable or endearing quality. John starts off as a tragic hero MC but soon goes full angst evil bitch.Updating Stability, from what I've seen updates happen, my biggest issue is wasting chapters on question and answer sections, seriously webnovel books have a specific chapter setting for this sort of thing that does not require breaking up the story or having 41 chapters but the latest title being chapter 37. LEARN TO USE THE SITE AUTHORWorld Background... nothing is explained. Yes its the world we live in but everything is just FBI this, police that. The zombie general attacks the white house which seems to lack any defenses just so the author can massacre president "Grump". Alot is glossed over to force plot.In closing, the book isn't bad. The premise starts off great... its just i feel someone coated the sled bottom in no stick spray before rushing down the hill, the speed is going at break neck pace with no ability to enjoy the ride. When it stops it won't be to a kid laughing in wild fun, it'll be to tears on a good premise rushed and squandered.
Extremely Good till latest Ch. 115. I just there will be good romance Harem & MC will not push girls away. FMC(s) should also be from top background or top-level talent so that they don't have to pampered too much.
Story itself isn't that bad. It's set in Modern Times, yet there's really nothing Modern about it. We don't know why the MC likes carrots so much. So the story feels forced
The story was insanely liked as well as the despair of mc and his progress, the author please update the novel much more often 57 chapters were not enough for me.
Once Upon A Time, There Was A Spirit Sword Mountain, is not your normalcultivation novel ie MC gets power up after power or beats other's 5 ranks above him etc as you'd normally see in this type of work, it has some great comical moments, excellent characters who will make you laugh and some of the dialog between the mc and his teach is great well worth a read
TLDR: MC is a doormatReview:MC gains a system that requires him to bring in students to teach cultivation. He gains strength through the act of guiding students, etc. But, he's a huge doormat, everyone walks all over himDespite being an authoritative figure (Sect Master) he calls each disciple Sir/Madam. He lets them demand things from him like some middle age women asking for the manager. He's a doormat through and through.
Terrible novel, I was hoping for something like Building The Ultimate Fantasy but this is just bad lol. MC is stupid af, the cheat isn't even good and the novel is just plain boring. Dropping.
Unique story per se author really put great efforts in writing this.
Decent school life op system novel. Nothing really stands out, dropped on ch60 because mc is dumb and does so many things that risk exposing himself and don't benefit him. Literally joins a special tournament that gives him no benefit where the teachers are trying to find the genius student. Character design also is non existent
I have read the MLT version of this story and it was just extremely generic. The guy stays in the library, saves the clan, teaches two little girls secretly(I don't know what his obsession with teaching little girls is) but ya overall it was meh. It's like a copy and paste of all the other sign-in novels.
