Hey guys, am the translator for this novel. Do give this a read, the title is very misleading and superficial compared to the actual story! I like the way the author writes, he/she maintains the image of an arrogant playboy MC while keeping the face slapping at a minimum. This is a real masterpiece. Never have I ever laughed so much in a single chapter , when reading a novel. it's so funny and creative at the same time, that it makes me addicted, waiting impatiently for the next chapter. The author has done a remarkable job in creating a solid world setting, full of interactive characters, events that appear naturally without the feeling of being forced and a main character that stays true to his character, so matter how scummy it makes him appear.???You don't get to see many such novels and I really hope that such a masterpiece gets the recognition it deserves!!!
Here you get to watch the MC repeatedly let his loved ones suffer and continually fail them. You see how he gets used and tossed around by everyone else and constantly fooled. MC gets a 0/5 for intelligence. At least he gave his family a poison land technique.
I would rate this 4.5/5 but there isnt enough updates.(No chapter for 30 days). Hopefully Author is doing ok and isn't hurt!! Apart from this, yeah its real good

So far so good. The story is about a newly promoted abbot of the dilapidated One Finger Temple after the old abbot has ascended to the heavens. The new abbot initially wanted to leave the temple and eat meat and have kids but was restricted by his newly acquired Buddha System and was forced to lead a life of asceticism.Although the MC would probably continue behaving like a street punk on the inside, he presents his outward self as a serene monk who wouldn't be surprised even if the earth shatters or the sky collapses. His two-faced dialogues are quite fun to read.Moreover, you'll feel a strange sense of serenity after reading the chapters, a world that is far away from the heart palipitating battles of xianxia and xuanhuan as well as the heart-toasting corny world of the various romance novels. All in all, I would recommend you guys to go through the novel without skipping on the parts where Fangzheng explains on the many Buddhist verses.

The author disseminates untruths about the Middle Ages, thinking that people did not wash when in fact they enjoyed baths, washed their bodies and hair, had good dental hygiene and washed their hands before and after every meal. The actor describes his MC as spreading handwashing which is completely ridiculous because it was common knowledge to wash your hands before and after every meal. The author is probably confusing the renaissance with the Middle Ages.
Starts out a bit slow but the world building is fantastic and it has begun to ramp up into something I’m genuinely excited to read. It has a distinct new flavor to read in comparison to other novels I’ve read so far so. The MC is entertaining as well as mysterious and the side characters seem unique. If you like such series I highly recommend.
The author is an awful bastard who made me think this was just going to be a common harem story at first, just to end up giving me this disgustingly amazing story. Despite what it may seem, the idea of the story is played out in an incredibly novel way, making me and many others unable to put it down. The characters are actually fleshed out, with interactions that actually make sense. While managing to emphasize the main character, the other characts, and the world itself, all hold purpose.Even with all my praise, I will not claim this is a perfect story, nor do I think the story is for everyone. Yet, I have truly enjoyed this story thus far, and the only thing that truly leaves me upset is being unable to read more of it.
