I'm going to be honest — this book doesn't have a ton of dialogue, and that's actually its strength. When Xueying does speak, it's clipped, efficient, and completely in character. She's not wasting words on anyone. Not the dealers, not the clerks, not herself. Take this exchange in Japan: "I've seen everything. No problem. But don't think you can cheat me on the price," she said firmly. That's it. Three sentences. But you can hear her personality in every word. She's not aggressive, she's not rude — she's just done with nonsense. She's inspected the goods, she knows the market value, and she's not going to be played. The word "firmly" does so much heavy lifting there. We don't need a paragraph of description because her voice carries it. The narrative voice itself is interesting too. It's third-person limited, staying close to Xueying's perspective, but it has this almost cinematic quality. Descriptions like "like a phantom, she slipped through the night" or "her figure on the German streets looked like a living painting" — these aren't just pretty words, they shape how we experience the story. We're not just told what she's doing; we're placed in the scene with her. The dealers barely speak at all. Their dialogue is minimal, functional. And that's deliberate — they're not characters, they're obstacles. The story doesn't need them to be memorable. It needs Xueying to be, and her voice — both spoken and internal — is sharp enough that she carries the whole thing.
good ......... ii
finally I've been waiting for another story from you
Love this as much as her other books. It’ll take a lot but I’m going to complete both of them. Very nice book. Good job author.

I'm addicted?❤️❤️❤️❤️?I keep checking for an update every second❤️?
Oh no. Am so sad ... Kirk and Caroline .... Kirk was a dream husband, and now this Eddy, how I wish I could kill him myself, such an opportunist with no plan what so ever. He doesn't love Caroline he loves the idea of having her around. I wish Kirk and Caroline could find the way to each other soon.
I love this. author good job
