Holy Cow what a ride! I became so emotionally attached to these characters that I literally mourned the completion of this book because I wanted more. This story has become my favorite one on this platform and I want more of it. I really want a sequel! Please PLEASE write a second book!!!!

Wait, I don’t understand this so called Dave. What a clown
the bebebebebesttt book..
The tension in these chapters is ABSOLUTE. I was sweating reading this. Xu Chi's primary conflict is internal — he knows You Chumu is dangerous, he knows the story, he knows this person could turn into a knife-wielding lunatic at any moment. But he also knows he can't just abandon him. The stakes are incredibly high because if Xu Chi makes the wrong move, if he pushes You Chumu too far, the whole dynamic could collapse and Xu Chi would be dead. He's walking a razor's edge every single scene. The external stakes are also real. This is a city where crime is everywhere, where the management office sign is defaced and the police are drinking soy milk instead of doing their jobs. You Chumu escaped a lab — and labs don't just let their experiments walk away. The threat isn't just You Chumu himself; it's everything that sent him running. But what really gets me is the psychological stakes. Every scene between them is a battle for control. Xu Chi thinks he's in control because he has story knowledge. But You Chumu has been watching him sleep. He knows Xu Chi's tells. He's learning his rhythms. The power is slipping away and Xu Chi is too terrified to even acknowledge it. The moment where You Chumu presses his nose against Xu Chi's collar and sniffs the egg noodle scent — that's the scene that haunts me. It's so intimate and so violating at the same time. Xu Chi is unconscious, defenseless, and You Chumu is literally breathing him in like he's some precious thing. The stakes just went from "I need to get rid of him" to "I think he's already decided I'm his and there's no getting away." And Xu Chi's internal scream of "I WOULD RATHER JUMP OUT THE WINDOW" — I felt that in my bones.
When the next chapter to be release
Enjoying it so far!!
