Hey there! This series is quite short, and each chapter isn’t very long either. It’s a feel-good historical novel. While it doesn’t have the most amazing storytelling, nor is it deeply political or thought-provoking like some works by established webnovel authors, it’s the kind of book where you can turn off your brain and just enjoy. That’s exactly what I’ve been looking for lately—novels that make me happy and only bring tears of joy. ?
It follows the second chance/regressor trope, which isn’t anything groundbreaking, and some might label the characters as Mary Sue/Gary Sue. However, it’s quite enjoyable with a sweet, healthy romance and a loving family dynamic. Even though I’ve read it at least twice, I can’t remember many details clearly—it’s been a while. But I do recall the female lead (FL) not being particularly useful throughout the plot. In fact, she might have been pretty useless, but she wasn’t a burden. She was just being herself, and as the title suggests, she was pampered. She fits the "damsel in distress" archetype, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
I usually prefer strong female leads, both emotionally and physically, and those are the ones I enjoy reading about more. However, the FL here isn’t the worst I’ve encountered. The novel isn’t perfect and has some obvious flaws, but I still give it 5/5 stars based on personal preference. It’s just a light read, a great break from all the angsty or heavy novels. ?
The narrative would have been more compelling if there weren't constant inconsistencies and miscommunications throughout. Numerous plot points felt contrived to push the protagonist into depression or embarrassment.
In a spoiler-rich section, the protagonist avenged his mother's murder by violently attacking her killers, an understandable reaction. However, he did so with a maniacal grin and in front of horrified classmates. The subsequent confusion and depression he experienced as people distanced themselves from him were baffling, considering he was reportedly well-aware of his actions and appearance.
Unfortunately, there were just too many forced situations that made the story difficult for me to continue reading.
no h*m*⚆ _ ⚆?
This novel is si underrated and should have more support
Just my opinion
Yeah i read chapter 24...can someone tell me what the hell this series is about? I skipped to chapter 24 and that was far worse than i expected...it was kinda disturbing to read. And the description doesn't really tell me much of anything.
For all my homies that got upset at the last cliffhanger, chapter 104 of the manga ends around halfway through chap 218 of the novel
really? So i’m Almost done. I thought it will be like 600-700. Thanks
the opposite of lord0318 happened i got to the last 50 chapters and started getting more interested tbh shame it got cut off
