So far the story has been a roller coaster ride of emotions. Kiara has a very strong personality and I love it. I’m trusting the process because right now I don’t like Dean very much.

Okay so let me just say this out loud—Fu Chuan's transformation is the single most satisfying thing I've read in forever. Like, the old Fu Chuan would have dropped everything and sprinted to the hospital the second he heard Fu Zichen fainted. In his past life, that's exactly what he did. But this time? He just... goes back to his room and keeps drawing. The line that got me was when the butler says Fu Chuan didn't even notify him about going to the hospital, and Fu Chuan's response is basically nothing. No anger, no drama, just cold, flat indifference. And the sisters—oh my god, the sisters are losing their minds. Fu Xinling literally can't process it. She's this composed elite lawyer who always knows how to win, but Fu Chuan no longer cares about her leverage because he doesn't care about the family anymore. Think about that. Her entire power over him was his desperate need for their approval, and now that's gone. She's sitting there like 'what do I do now?' But the most heartbreaking part is Fu Qingqing. She peels that egg for Fu Chuan at breakfast, he just walks away, and she's standing there holding an egg like a complete idiot. She's realizing too late that she never really knew him. 'Had she truly tried to understand his emotions, his talents, or his ambitions?' That line hit me like a truck. She had a blood brother living under the same roof and she knew NOTHING about him. The family photo moment though—Fu Xinling smashed it and Fu Chuan told her to throw it in the trash. The old Fu Chuan would have had a meltdown over that photo. This one? Barely blinked. What does that say about how much he'd already grieved this family before they even knew he was gone?
