The experience of reading this feels like a continuous fast-paced race, with events unfolding rapidly without any喘息, leaving one disoriented about the passage of time.
However, it's important not to take this novel seriously at all. The protagonist, FL, comes across as a Mary Sue character who lavishly spends money, causing others to assume she's on the verge of financial ruin. Yet, coincidentally, every investment she makes turns out to be a success – it's almost as if she has an impenetrable plot armor.
The male lead, ML, is equally absurd and hard to take seriously. He falls in love with FL instantly and behaves like a submissive husband from the start, altering himself to迎合 her preferences, even if it means lying to her.
Additionally, there were a few inconsistencies that irked me, but I didn't bother going back to verify them.
In summary, if you approach the story with low expectations and switch off your critical thinking, it's a decent read, albeit one with its flaws.
I have a preference for Yuri stories and don't mind genderbender themes, but there are boundaries I adhere to. A heads up for those who share my interests: the main character (MC) can be both male and female. The love interest seems to prefer their female side, but it's not entirely clear. It appears that they are also accepting of the male MC. However, personally, I am not fond of genderbenders that can change back and forth, as it creates inconsistency and detracts from the yuri experience for me. It's worth noting that the MC asserts and prefers their original male identity.
At the moment of writing this, there are 175 chapters, and I've caught up! Now, I'll give a brief review. I'd rate it 9/10. To be honest, the recent chapters left me speechless - no exaggeration; I had to pause my music, wipe away tears, and re-read the kissing scene, momentarily forgetting about Tsuchimikado's situation. Haha.
The novel doesn't heavily focus on horror; the protagonist seems to have it pretty easy. If you're looking for chills, this might not be your cup of tea. The story mainly revolves around two aspects: delving into the background and resolving the horror incidents as the protagonist progresses, and the dynamic between the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML), which involves friendly competition.
I'm quite pleased with how the plot unfolds; it keeps moving forward, never allowing for a dull moment, thanks to the system's constant action. It's all quite entertaining! As for characters, I sense the author has a personal understanding of apathy, which makes the MC's portrayal relatable. I enjoy that touch – it adds depth. And the chemistry between ML and MC is incredible; MC seems to effortlessly manipulate the "fearless big boss" ML, making it a hilarious dynamic.
Considering humor, I'd classify this as a comedy; it's just too amusing. The supporting characters add even more laughter, especially those younger siblings accompanying MC – they're a riot! Overall, an excellent read so far, with great translation. If you come across its completion, definitely give it a try.
Having immersed myself in "The Martial Unity," I found it an exhilarating read that seamlessly weaved together martial arts and profound philosophical themes. The characters, driven by their unwavering discipline, came to life with each turn of the page, captivating me with their dynamic battles and inner struggles. The intricate plot kept me hooked, challenging my understanding of loyalty and the true meaning of unity. A must-read for those who crave both action and depth in storytelling.
They both are so good but journey's chapter are less longer, fights a bit more interesting. Though both are good tho.
