"Believe me, if you doubt my intentions, think again," he whispered, his breath hot against her cheek as he cornered her. How did she imagine he would hold back? "Being William's daughter holds no sway over me. Your captivating presence alone has the power to entice. Tell me, what would it take for you to consider a liaison between us?" He nibbled her ear, causing her to softly gasp. Melissa Franklin's father unexpectedly named his dear friend in his will instead of his beloved daughter, leaving her inheritance inaccessible until she reaches 30, a distant seven years away. Enter Klyde Henderson, a man twice her age, who now acts as her legal guardian. However, his admiration for her father doesn't extend to her; in his view, she's an unproductive young woman. Determined to secure her inheritance, Melissa began playing a subtle seduction game, hoping to change his perception and gain control of her future wealth.

I don't know, the book isn't that bad. Actually, the idea of the dimensional gate and the character cards are unique, she could use their ability and get possessed by them, but she can still retain her own personality. However, as the story goes on, it became boring, the MC doesn't really have a fixed goal, she's a slated fish who wants to be low-key popular, like any other normal student dreams to be. Though, I think her normal personality is what makes it boring, though there's indeed some interesting parts of the story, I can't help but feel that it's lacking something. Her personality is complicated, it had the vanity of a youth when she's daydreaming and the laid back personality that every student want to enjoy, but it's really lacking since she doesn't have a goal that she wanted to take. She just go along with the flow and I think it's boring. Sure, living her life would be amazing, but it's not suitable for a story.

I will say the first 150 chapters, Kahn was bipolar and acted differently everything. After a major plot point he gets development and he improves. But the next 30 chapters are also the foundation for the next arc. So about 180 chapters.
