I think this story is quite entertaining. I have read so far and i like it. the author has good command of English.
Nice story. The length of the story is just right, not too long or short like the other stories.
mind-blowing story ...
I really like this book
Amazing book, this author really knows how to dig deep into a dark romance. wow Fantastic read, please just adore to all the warning set on this book but I promise it's totally worth it. Well done on a great book!!!
I greatly appreciate the MC's personality and his background story, particularly involving his parents. First and foremost, he exudes maturity, considering his age, which is over 19 years old. He demonstrates emotional control, as evident during the rape scene where he doesn't let his emotions overpower him. Although he might seem incredibly powerful (OP), the author balances this by introducing other equally or more powerful characters.
To those who believe the MC attracts every girl effortlessly, I must纠正 that assumption. The writer meticulously explains the reasons behind each character's affection for him, such as during the village arc and the occasion when noble girls confessed to him at school.
Honestly, I really loved this novel.
In the beginning, the plot is full of allusions and foreshadowing that at times made my stomach drop. The writing itself is very beautiful, and the way the author conveyed the main character's feelings to us, the readers, was lovely. However, I do feel the writing became a bit dull towards the end.
I will say that because of the tone of the novel and the writing style, from the beginning to the middle, I had different expectations for how the plot would progress. I was anticipating tragedy, twists, and heartbreak, but I was still satisfied with how the novel unfolded.
Additionally, as one reviewer mentioned, the sisterhood in this novel is fantastic. Given that many historical novels often pit girls against each other, I expected the sisterly relationships to deteriorate, but to my surprise, they did not.
I recommend it because it's a well-rounded novel in terms of characters, plot, and a happy ending for almost everyone, except maybe two.
Spoiler:
The "emperor" definitely deserved his fate due to his schemes and insincere feelings. The other character who didn't quite get a happy ending was Concubine Shen. However, I like to think that she might be content with her situation due to her modern mindset.
Thank you to the translator for bringing this novel to us!
Although I do enjoy reading some Mary Sue or Gary Stu stories from time to time, I can't help but feel it's such a waste.
Mary Sue/Gary Stu can be a delightful read when you're in the mood for some overly sweet, pampering romance, but this novel is clearly more focused on the main character's (MC) development—or at least their reputation and popularity development.
I feel it's a waste because the MC's story is already compelling on its own:
An unfortunate idol who faced bad luck (thanks to an incompetent and pit-digging "promoting" agent) fails to gain recognition and quits the entertainment industry to return to the sports world as an athlete, rising to stardom.
The story didn't need to be as Gary Stu as it is, given that the MC has a stubborn and hardworking character. It might have been better if the MC was a different kind of Gary Stu, or if the author had spent more time detailing the MC's independent growth, such as their training, physical transformation, and the transition from an idol lifestyle to an athlete lifestyle. Instead, the focus on the system somewhat undermines not only the MC but also the opposing athletes who train year-round, as well as the male lead (ML) who was motivated and fell in love because of the MC's stubbornness and hard work.

I found myself skimming through most parts after Chapter 28 because I realized the story was more about boasting about the MC than about the MC's journey to becoming stronger. I also noticed that fans, netizens, and side characters have far more dialogue than the MC and ML. The author uses these characters to praise the MC...
So, in my opinion, the story focused on the wrong aspects, which made it feel bland.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it, given that it doesn't rely heavily on swords and magic, despite being a fantasy setting. I devoured all the available chapters in just two days. What stands out is how distinct this series is from many other fantasy genres. And unlike some slice-of-life stories that can lose me after a dozen chapters without significant events, this one keeps me engaged from start to finish.
Hello everyone, I am the translator of this novel. After receiving numerous complaints regarding the quality of the translation and realizing that it lacked proper editing, which was my oversight, I have made the decision to discontinue my work on it. I apologize for any time and effort wasted. I sincerely ask for your forgiveness. To ensure such an issue does not recur, I promise not to translate any more BL novels in the future. Once again, I deeply regret the disappointing translation. Thank you for understanding.
