This woman is literally running a marriage-for-housing-rights murder ring and Bai Bai just DROPS ALL THESE NAMES on her like it's nothing. What's interesting is how Bai Bai handles this. She doesn't just get angry - she's strategic. She plays the part of someone who's finally snapped, shouting out all those names (Qiao Lin, He Jin, Fan Wenfan, Zhao Meimei, Chen Xue, Su Anyue, Sun Yan, Jin Ning) while whipping the matchmaker. It's brilliant manipulation. She's using the crowd as witnesses, creating a public scene that forces the administrators to take action. But here's what really gets me - the original host's memories. Bai Bai knows all these names because the original host was close to these people. Their deaths affected her. And now Bai Bai, this transmigrator who barely knows this world, is defending the original host's legacy. That's actually really touching when you think about it. The matchmaker herself is fascinating too. She's thick-skinned, refusing to leave even after being whipped. She plays the victim, screaming 'I'm innocent!' while grabbing onto the administrator's leg. Classic manipulator - she knows how to make herself look like the victim when caught. And Bai Bai's response? She doesn't back down. She lists more names, daring the matchmaker to deny it. 'You old hag, now you've set your sights on me, haven't you?' That line gave me chills. She's not just defending herself - she's exposing a whole system of murder. The neighbors' reactions are also telling. They're shocked but also connecting dots - 'I was wondering! That girl named Chen Xue who lived on the same floor as me was doing just fine before marriage. How could she be gone just over a month after getting hitched?' People had suspected something but never had proof. Bai Bai just handed them the evidence on a silver platter. I love how Bai Bai uses the original host's social connections as weapons. Those friendships weren't just backstory - they're ammunition. The dead friends become evidence. Their deaths become a pattern that can't be ignored anymore. This whole scene shows Bai Bai's growth as a character. She started as someone just trying to survive, buying Source Crystals and testing her duplication ability. But now she's willing to fight, to expose corruption, to protect others. She's not just surviving - she's becoming someone who makes a difference. The matchmaker's reaction when the administrators arrive is pathetic - scrambling up, lunging at the male administrator, playing victim. But Bai Bai just stands there, pale and panting, having done exactly what she needed to do. She's not cruel - she's necessary. I keep thinking about that moment when Bai Bai shouts all those names. Each name represents a real person who died. She's not just listing victims - she's honoring them. Making sure they're remembered. That's powerful. And the crowd? They're not just bystanders anymore. They're witnesses. They're connecting dots. The matchmaker's web of murder is being exposed in real-time, in public, with dozens of people hearing it. This is character development at its finest. Bai Bai went from cautious survivor to someone willing to stand up and fight. And she did it using the original host's memories, turning grief into justice. I need to know what happens next. What will the administrators do? Will the matchmaker be arrested? And what about those other couples - are their spouses also murderers? This scene changed everything. The world just got darker, but also more hopeful - because now people know the truth. And Bai Bai is the one who brought it to light. Honestly, I'm obsessed with this character. She's smart, strategic, and willing to get her hands dirty when necessary. But she also cares about the dead, about justice, about protecting others. That's rare in fiction. The matchmaker deserved every whip mark. And then some. I can't wait to see what happens next. This story just got so much better.

I don't know any writer that writes mafia series better than our author. Trust me you'd been missing out on a really great book, filled with sweet romance, suspense and a touch of comedy, one you're rarely find in a perfect blend, anywhere else, if you skip this one. I highly recommend!!!
