This is by far the best book I've read in a very long time. I'm hooked! Chapter 2 almost made me cry. Now I'm wondering if Dr. Samuel and Wole will ever meet and how!? I'm also wondering if Wole will regain his memory and how will he react towards Charles when he does! Update soon??

Okay so can we talk about how Yu Ange handled that dinner with Wei Yuanming because I am OBSESSED. She invites him in, mocks his cheap wine, then produces her own Bulaochun from the cellar and proceeds to OUTDRINK him. The man comes in thinking he's going to cozy up to her with some cheap wine and a scheme, and she turns it into a drinking contest she absolutely dominates. "Good wine, good wine!" he says, and she just keeps refilling his cup while she doesn't even show a sign of being drunk. Meanwhile Yanbo the smug maid struts around like she owns the place, telling Chazi to prepare sobering soup and then stealing the credit. But then—plot twist—Chazi sees through it, exchanges a look with another maid, and goes to play along. The tension in that bedroom scene when Chazi blows out the lamp and lifts the bed curtains, thinking Yu Ange is asleep... and then Yu Ange just sits there, expression cold, eyes clear and alert. I literally jumped. The way Yu Ange plays this whole situation—using the wine, the drunk Wei Yuanming, Yanbo's arrogance, Chazi's ambition—all of it shows a woman who is several steps ahead of everyone in that room. She's not just surviving, she's orchestrating. And I'm here for it.
