Sorry to burst your bubble girls but, isn't this a story whom a male is its protagonist? I mean, "The Empress' Gigolo"! See the apostrophe? Further more, the 'gigolo' word?! It means, a male escort or social companion who is supported by a woman in a continuing relationship; often living in her residence or having to be present at her beck and call----(wikipedia). So, just because the cover is a female doesn't mean she's the protagonist... sigh I want it to be a girl mc too ?
Just, truly perfect. Nothing I can criticize. Xuanhuan stories are just like this, the type that I love. Especially modern world stories with reactions and cute cat interactions. I am just blown away. Kudos to the author and the translator team. Hopefully this gets more chapters and I can see this taking over top spots in power rankings. The premium novels have become too expensive anyway and not worth the spirit stone:chapter word count ratio. That’s all I have to say. Again, amazing novel.
Its pretty stupid, but its honestly really entertainingMC is basically a side character in the 19 chaps weve read so far.Its just been about how ridiculously influential all his disciples and adopted children are and how theyve been doing pr
You know how bad it is when the description has grammar errors. ;,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ;,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ;,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ;,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ;,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Important message to all potential readers please read.Hi author here first I want to say thank you for reading my book it’s my second book but it really feels like my first. Im stIll new to this my writing is still Rocky but i do intead to improve as long as I keep going.(So plz forgive the shameless 5 stars)Second thing is that I’ve marked PlaceHolder Shaman as a male leading series when really it’s a female leading series I don’t wanna miss lead anyone but I did this because the male category has more to choose from were the female category is very limited in it’s selection. Placeholder is not a romance nor is it Really a fanatsy it’s an action series with a lead that just happens to be a girl. I hope this isn’t a deal breaker for you and I hope you’ll join me for this journey.
This is Good, im not attracted to the story at first just reading the summary but after I tried to reading it. I just got hooked in the story.
Entertaining and driven, this story doesn't seem to linger or falter on irritating details. I thoroughly enjoy the pacing until now, though the story has gone in a direction different to what I was expecting from the initial premise of a man trying to live a quiet family life.
Never play baseball before, but this is a great story for you who does love this sport. The author knew their stuff and chose the correct diction to describe the process of the baseball game. I love how the author wrote the process of the characters training instead of suddenly going genius over it out of nowhere. Although yes, the character is granted some cheat by having these amazing inborn skills, but the author still makes him lack of basic foundation in baseball since he never plays before. So, this is a very logical plot which I’m fond of.For writing wise, I do think there’s some room for improvement but overall it’s adequate. It just needs some little editing. I do recommend breaking down your paragraph to make it easier on the eyes, because some parts, it does seem long.Good luck and keep writing author! ??
This novel has 'present tense narration', which irks me a lot and throws me off my pace.
Interesting blurb ✨ I can just tell the story is going to be amazing. Starting as soon as possible! Keep up the good work, author ❤️
There are two scenes in this chapter that just LIVE in my head now and I can't stop thinking about them. First: Wen Qingli in Lu Zheng's study, curtains drawn, only a small desk lamp on. She's resting her cheek against her palm, brows furrowed, replaying the mall incident in her mind. The image of that single pool of warm light in an otherwise dark room—it's so intimate, so quiet. It feels like the entire world has shrunk down to just that one desk lamp and her thoughts. Then she calls her mother, and the conversation is all gentle reminders: eat well, don't work too late, take care of yourself. The contrast between the cold, heavy atmosphere of the study and the warmth of her mother's voice on the phone is perfect. Second: the kitchen scene at night. Wen Qingli filling a glass of water, mind wandering, nearly spilling it. And then Lu Zheng appears behind her—"a long, firm hand reached out from behind her and turned off the tap." He stands so close that if she steps back, her back presses against his chest. Full head taller. Her damp hair, the jasmine scent, his breath on her hair. The water nearly overflowing is such a brilliant detail—it shows how distracted she is, how her mind is elsewhere, and then his presence grounds her back in the moment. These scenes feel so cinematic. I could literally see them as film frames.
I Remember reading this somewhere and not knowing this was the sequel of The Bad Boy's Problem :D
