Let's start with the most memorable line, which is hands down Xu Nian's: "A good dog doesn't block the road. Move." I literally laughed out loud. That is such a Xu Nian thing to say—cold, sharp, and absolutely devastating. She's not being rude for the sake of being rude; she's assessing this man, realizing he's beneath her, and dismissing him in the most efficient way possible. Qian Wenyuan's dialogue is equally effective because it reveals his character without the author having to tell us. He says things like "Don't make trouble, okay?" and "What do you take me for? A fool?" He speaks like a man who genuinely believes he's being reasonable. That's the mark of a good antagonist—he doesn't think he's the bad guy. His language is patronizing, entitled, and completely self-justifying. The doctor's dialogue is brief but perfect: "You shameless little slut! You got yourself pregnant before marriage, and now you're putting on airs?" This woman has no filter and no professionalism, and her dialogue reflects that exactly. She's cruel, judgmental, and completely unbothered by the fact that she's performing an illegal medical procedure. Even Xu Nian's internal monologue has a distinct voice. She's a medical researcher in her previous life, and that comes through in how she analyzes situations. When she calls the original Xu Nian "an idiot," it's not just judgment—it's the clinical assessment of someone who's used to evaluating evidence and reaching conclusions. The narration itself is also worth praising. It's clean, direct, and never overwrought. The author trusts the reader to understand context without excessive explanation. When Xu Nian thinks "What an idiot," we don't need a paragraph of justification—we get it immediately. One line that stuck with me: "You're nothing more than someone I can summon when I please and throw away whenever I like." That's not just dialogue—that's a character statement. Xu Nian is redefining her relationship with this man in real time.

Honestly the image portrays this story to be just nsfw but so far it has been the exact opposite and very enjoyable and not just a sex fest the humor in it is nice and just like it a lot and would recommend for you to read it as well!

I’m not sure how I feel about this yet. The best friend seems to have a history of hidden jealousy and acts on her feelings for the FLs husband. That’s just not a friend. The husband got emotionally tangled with the best friend and admits to loving her. All that while you’d think he would still be in the honeymoon phase with the wife he supposedly loves and is now chasing. But neither him nor the “best friend” have talked. It seems to be he’s just reacting to getting caught and is chasing his wife. This is our ML? Eww. Infidelity is a deal breaker as it is. Infedility with your BFF under your own roof really is next level on the “eff off” scale. Infedility under your own roof with your partner & BFF who have intense and even loving feelings being shared is just ‘Game Over’. I enjoy the angst to a point, but at this level, it’s motivation for an independent life. Personally, idk if I could be even remotely assed to open my trust to either.

I actually loved the flow of this novel. I haven't read fantasy much, but it seems a very interesting and easy read for me. Can't wait for grey to get all five affinities. Definitely recommend it.
