For some reactions, you need catalysts and promoters- in cooking these catalysts come in the form of actual edible catalysts added to the food. You stir for some reactions, you stir for many foods. Reactions are undeniably precise, do something wrong and something blows up. Same with food. Hell, cooking is a form of chemistry. So shouldn't you excel at that?"
