very good page turner
well this story is very similar to your other story divorced my ex-husband is addicted to me
When a new chapter???
The story seems interesting, but I noticed sentences in the past and in the present on the same paragraph. It was hard to concentrate in the story with those changes. Needs a few corrections with this, but overall, a nice read.
this is so good. I live supernatural romance. I like the author's way of writing. Wishing for more
Wish I’d read the comments first - really should give the readers an idea of the direction on the ML that gets the girl. Nothing about their relationship seemed like much, until it just was…
when will be the update
interesting story plot....Nice work author
loving this book so far! can't wait to read more of it
I recently read an adaptation of this story on another platform, but the chapters lacked proper editing and translation, which made it difficult for me to comprehend certain idioms and phrases, almost like dealing with broken English at times. Despite that, I would rate this version 100 out of 5, as it shares similarities with the TV dramas "Goblin" and "My Love from Another Star" in terms of quality and depth. The protagonist, Ye Sui, finds herself in a novel universe where she is the antagonist, a celebrity who interferes with the love story between the main characters, Sheng Xui and Chang Ying.
Originally, Ye Sui's role was to act as a substitute for Chang Ying during their breakup, as she pretends to be innocent like the titular 'White Lotus.' However, her true intentions are malicious. The readers and characters in the novel know about her duplicity, giving her the nickname 'Little Chang Ying.' Eventually, Sheng Xui realizes his mistake and reconciles with Chang Ying, leaving Ye Sui in obscurity. Complicating matters further, Ye Sui is married to Sheng Shu, an unassuming uncle of Sheng Xui, who marries her for stability and to provoke jealousy – though the character in the novel is portrayed as a dull wastrel.
As Ye Sui comes from a life as a celebrity, she aims to continue her career after the story's main characters unite, hoping to avoid the novel's tragic fate. She skillfully navigates her role, even if she finds Sheng Xui arrogant and shallow due to his privileged background. Just when Ye Sui is about to finalize her plans and distance herself, her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Sheng Shu, a man brimming with yang energy, which awakens her ghost-sensing abilities, causing fear.
The writing is excellent, with a gradual, character-driven romance that unfolds beautifully. The female lead is endearing, much like the eccentric character from "My Love from Another Star." Despite being disliked by many online, she remains resilient. The male lead has a compelling backstory, and their love story is truly captivating. Although he's not pushover, he's not arrogant either; his understated nature creates a strong impact. The novel balances humor with depth, making it a highly recommended read. The female lead's comedic timing adds a delightful touch to the story.
Informal review:
Great! Oh, goodness, I was worried there might be a shift in genre after Chapter 100. Jerryel, my darling, is a fantastic character - she's a genuine appreciator of cool people and holds a special place in my heart as my favorite.
The antagonist, however, felt underdeveloped. I actually appreciate the author not going for the cliché of portraying him as a pitiful, helpless baby – it keeps the female characters grounded and relatable.
During the earlier stages of the series, up until Chapter 80, it was all about the girls going all-out in their battles. Our protagonist, despite having a similar energy to Eris from KMSimulator, is less clinically depressed, which is a refreshing change. He embodies the trope I adore – a scary yet charming character, with a possessive streak that's common in K-dramas but not overly excessive.
Overall, I'd rate this closer to a 4.5 out of 5, but I accidentally input 4 instead – my mistake! \\(^-^)/ - 4ryuna_
