Love the book author waiting for another update
really love this book
Okay so let me just say—this parrot is the single most dangerous character in this entire story and I am HERE for it. Maomao/General is basically running around reciting erotic poetry and every time it happens, Zhe Junwu's life gets more precarious. The plot tension here is absolutely relentless. One minute she's safe in the aviary, the next the parrot decides to yell 'First taste of crimson lips, robes undone, jade snow breasts piled' and suddenly she's on her knees again. This is basically a live-action game of whack-a-mole where the mole is her survival and whack equals death. But what I love is how the plot keeps pivoting on these tiny moments. The Crown Prince could have killed her twice already. Twice! And he doesn't. Instead he gets... curious? The scene where he analyzes why he's not disgusted by her is genuinely fascinating from a plotting standpoint—it's the author slowly revealing his psychological profile through his own internal monologue, which is such a clever narrative technique. He lists three reasons: she doesn't resemble the monk, she seems honest, she's too young to seduce anyone. But the reader knows what's actually happening—he's justifying something he doesn't understand. And then the hair-cutting! That was such a perfect plot turn. She goes from trembling victim to someone who takes ACTION. 'She hurriedly sat up, got out of bed, and took a pair of scissors from the table in front.' This is the moment the plot shifts from 'will she survive today' to 'she's actually strategizing.' The author sets this up so well with the earlier detail about the palace maid who got sick and was 'moved out.' Zhe Junwu connects the dots: beauty = danger, so hide the beauty. It's a tiny act of rebellion that changes everything. The ending where the Crown Prince calms down the moment he hears about the hair cutting? Chilling. And then he summons her? I literally gasped. The plot is building this slow-burn tension where every character is walking on eggshells and the reader is just waiting for the other shoe to drop. How much longer can this delicate ecosystem survive?

How can you be so rude?? she said she is literally ill, but yet she updates daily. Still, you guys are asking for more like come one, dude... She is human before being a writer pls be respectful towards her because she is always so kind towards her readers despite their rude tones
i hope to read more of this book. I want to know how the pack will treat the human girl, will she accept Cameron, and will she believe him once she knows the truth. also what about your brother will they look after him as well since I know she doesn't want to be separated from him
