I truly adore this book. The main character is charming and endearing, while the male lead is aloof yet not domineering. Their relationship stands out because, unlike most I've encountered, it implies a unique connection - as if they were twin siblings who shared a childhood bond but harbor deeper feelings, without being biological relatives. This soul-twin dynamic adds an intriguing aspect without crossing the line into clichés. Both characters display unwavering loyalty and possess a complex, yet mature dynamic, with elements of a yandere nature. Misunderstandings are minimal, and the relationship is a delightful balance of sweetness and depth. I've already translated this story three times myself and plan to revisit it once the official translation is complete (thank you for your hard work).
This is a pretty good romance story set in a cultivation world with some light system elements. Typically, seeing both system and cultivation tags together in a novel would be enough to deter me from reading, but I always try to give things a fair chance. Especially when it’s a yuri story.
The story is actually quite well executed, and the cultivation aspect is well integrated without overwhelming the reader with constant, detailed explanations about the various realms and levels. While having some prior knowledge of cultivation novels can help, the author tends to ‘show’ rather than ‘tell,’ gradually revealing information over time instead of dumping a mountain of exposition. It’s still somewhat cliché, but the writer handles these tropes effectively.
The system element is almost negligible up to the point I’ve read, functioning more like a ‘Deus Ex Machina’ shop where the protagonist can acquire whatever she needs to handle any given situation. For example:
**Spoiler**
She uses her saved-up points to buy a cannon and ammo to kill a dragon in a secret realm where they can’t use spiritual energy.
[collapse]
**Rizatus** mentioned that the story gets more violent towards the end, and based on what’s already happened, I can see why. There’s already been a bit of graphic violence and body horror in chapter 31. If the later chapters are anything like chapter 31, I expect things to get quite intense. In cultivation novels, it’s common to hear about a world ruled by the strong, but often these stories resolve conflicts in a way that feels a bit too sanitized. This one, however, doesn’t shy away from depicting the harsh realities of such a world.
The romance is really sweet. I’m not sure if Song Weizhi realizes she’s being flirtatious with Song Zhixia or if she’s just naturally following her instincts. From the beginning, she’s very touchy-feely—cuddling, snuggling, rubbing noses—and it only gets more intense as the story progresses.
, it’s a good story, and I’m really enjoying it.
My anticipation for this narrative vanished the moment the perfume chapter came, revealing it as yet another clichéd South Korean romantic webtoon. The main character (MC) is portrayed as an innocent virgin on the bottom, pining and suffering from the callous actions of a manipulative male lead (ML) who indiscriminately sleeps around. Despite knowing the premise mainly revolves around reputation, the story fails to address the fact that the ML's womanizing wasn't a facade, and he's actually quite experienced.
The ML's behavior is selfish and secretive, causing MC decades of emotional turmoil and self-blame without offering adequate support. For instance, in their first life, when their relationship was exposed, MC faced judgment, but the ML didn't protect him. This makes the ML unsympathetic from a romantic standpoint. Without a compelling love story, I prefer to explore other narratives with more engaging plots.
Additionally, despite the重生 element, MC remains secondary to ML in every aspect. Despite living a second life, MC is intellectually and practically inferior to ML, lacking political influence and wealth. In this iteration, MC's social status is even lower, as he is not a commander and exists solely as ML's shadow, with no personal ambitions unrelated to ML or saving the world – again, ML-centric.
In summary, the story's lack of depth in the romance and the repetitive nature of the tropes leave me disinterested, prompting me to seek alternative content with a more captivating plot.
"Absolutely enthralling! This novel is a literary masterpiece, a symphony of invincibility that leaves readers in awe. The characters, each unbreakable in their own right, captivate with their unwavering strength and resilience. The plot weaves an intricate web of triumphs, keeping one on the edge of their seat. A rollercoaster of emotions and unparalleled storytelling makes it an unforgettable read. I couldn't put it down, a true testament to the author's prowess."
"Masterful Martial Arts, an enthralling tale that captivated my imagination. The protagonist's journey from humble beginnings to unparalleled prowess was both inspiring and exhilarating. Each chapter unfolded like a well-choreographed fight sequence, leaving me on the edge of my seat. The blend of discipline, strategy, and human vulnerability made for a compelling read. A must for martial arts enthusiasts and lovers of character-driven narratives."

I share the same feeling with reiji.. nobody would say no to rest and peace ✌ ahahhahhaha
Honestly… there’s no one that would be so hard headed and determined to die, than the enemies of this MC. You just see him within the space of a few months, go from being super weak, to being able to defeat your masters with a single slap, masters that have cultivated for hundreds of years, people who you shake in fear over when they look in your direction, yet somehow you who is far weaker than said master, is still intent on provoking MC… to the point of either harming his brothers or women, especially a pregnant one… NO ONE WOULD DO THAT EVEN IF YOU THINK WITH YOUR TOES! The point “powerhouse is king” is made so many times, yet somehow the entire universe seems to forget this, when it comes to the MC? Every time? Come on now. Be for real. You even see the MC raise some disciples, to being stronger than the entire sect in the span of two months, yet you still think “no one can offend me, he must die!”? Seriously, no one would chase death so hard
