Mila is to die for....
waiting for harry's story
I thoroughly enjoyed the story up until around Chapter 110, particularly the fantastic and engaging interactions. The pace was slow but profound, and the ghost stories were emotionally touching at first, though they did become repetitive later on. After that point, the plot felt stretched and episodic, with each three chapters featuring a new ghost encounter. What annoyed me was the overuse of the FL's assistance for seemingly supernatural occurrences; if ghosts can manipulate objects so effortlessly, they could simply communicate through a letter instead of relying on the FL. The writing felt lazy, causing my brain to strain.
My recommendation is to read up until Chapter 120 or even earlier, as the story might lose its novelty and predictability beyond that point. Once you reach the reveal of the relationship, feel free to skip the last two chapters, as, in my opinion, they serve mostly as padding.
I absolutely adore this narrative! The main character (MC) isn't your typical innocent, superpowered damsel in distress; she battles fiercely to dismantle the 'hallowed' image of a fairy tale heroine. Her character is complex, displaying a mix of cunning, ruthlessness, and even occasional wickedness, which makes her intriguingly captivating. And despite it all, there's an undeniable beauty to her.
The male lead (ML), initially, garners some animosity from me. He undergoes a development arc where he improves, but there are moments when his actions deeply wound the MC, especially when he prioritizes Cinderella over her, even though they're in a relationship. One particularly heart-wrenching scene sees her lose her entire left hand because he chooses to protect Cinderella instead. *sigh*
None so far.
