I actually read the last few chapters during my lunch break then had to go back to class p*ss*d off about what I had just read, I could not focus in the slightest
This is yet another fantastic read! I appreciate stories with a touch of angst, but I need it to be balanced. This one struck the right chord! Despite understanding much of the conflict, the narrative maintained its appeal without dragging on. Misunderstandings played a significant role, but they ultimately led to a compelling development.
The story revolves around a love affair between two contrasting characters - a Dao Immortal and a former demon king, Tantai Jin. Their paths cross, and despite their dark pasts, they find a connection. Tantai Jin's backstory is filled with betrayal, weakness, and manipulation, while the female lead, FL, struggles to protect her family in the future. Their relationship is a mix of love and animosity, mirroring the clash between light and darkness.
I particularly enjoyed how the supporting characters received their comeuppance, making their arcs engaging. The multiple love stories that the main characters experienced added depth and emotional satisfaction. A major plot twist revealed that Ye Bingshang, a key figure, had been deceitful, setting up the initial connection between Tantai Jin and FL.
One of my favorite moments was a sweet gesture, albeit unexpected, when Ye Xiwu sacrifices one of her eyes for Tantai Jin, without him realizing it until later. It showcased a different side to their relationship.
FL's character growth is commendable, as she evolves while staying true to her beliefs. The ML, though erratic, experiences profound pain, which adds complexity to his character. However, the story fell short for me with instances of the ML prioritizing others over the MC, particularly his enemies, which felt unjustifiable.
Overall, the book offers a satisfying conclusion, but it's not a five-star read due to certain plot points. If you enjoy angsty relationships with a blend of sweetness and character development, I would recommend giving it a try.
For the record, I'm currently on Chapter 4.17. The earlier chapters provided a lighthearted and enjoyable read. As the story progresses, it delves deeper into everyday life with occasional political intrigue. It's interesting to explore the world and its dynamics, although the narrative can be lengthy and meandering, with some parts taking their time. The supporting characters are well-developed, and the pacing is decent, albeit occasionally slow during the protagonist's life recounting. I'd suggest this series not as a groundbreaking masterpiece that automatically earns a recommendation, but rather as a solid representation of its genre.
By the way, thanks for the translator! I've jumped straight from Chapter 107 to 130. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. Initially, I hoped for heartwarming, cute moments, but instead, there's a lot of trouble involved.
Most chapters feel like filler content, mainly due to the introduction and development of the five distinct personalities. Here's a brief overview:
1. CEO - The main character's personality.
2. A wife-loving, scaredy cat, introduced early on when they move in.
3. An ancient costume-wearing, tea-drinking, wine-sipping hunk.
4. A sweet lover.
5. My favorite, an excellent cook, sweet, but also a bit manipulative – a trait I'm not fond of, but everyone has their flaws.
It's important to note that no character is perfect. The story focuses on the chaos caused by these personalities, with the protagonist's amnesia adding complexity. However, it becomes repetitive with the same pattern: trouble, manipulation, forgiveness, rinse, and repeat. It starts to lose its appeal after a while.
I expected more growth in the financial aspect, particularly with her ventures in designing, selling insects, and eventually, starting a broadcast. Unfortunately, her broadcasts are quite uncomfortable, resembling a channel dedicated to insects, with a slight sadistic edge. As of Chapter 107, there have only been four instances, so it's not a significant source of income.
The ending had a surprise twist: Yan Weiwei, who turns out to be ML's childhood friend, ends up with Yicheng, while the original soul of the protagonist finds its way into Yan Weiwei's life. I didn't read much beyond Chapter 127, but that's the general idea.
I don't particularly enjoy how the protagonist constantly报复 the personalities and then forgives them; it doesn't showcase maturity. There's a hint of teenage impulsiveness, but I can't recall her past life clearly.
In summary, the novel lacks substance and depth. Although it might appeal to fans who enjoy:
1. MLs with multiple personalities who love the MC.
2. A protagonist with a tendency to confront and forgive.
3. Slow-paced romance,
it's not a great choice for filling time or seeking a satisfying read. It's more suitable for those looking for a specific type of story with a unique character dynamic.
Ngl. Just admit it.
Yaoi novels r mostly good. Thats the f*ck*ng problem.
I have read few sh*ts and ngl, the logical system is quite decent.
Author update pleaseeeee
Is it connected to author's other novels?
It's quite good which dives really deep into the story. If you like light hearted novel, then you would find it boring. But if you like novel with big content, I feel you would like it.
... Logically speaking yes? Actually I researched all this almost a year ago, but that stupid translator's policies probably haven't changed. If ur going to pay someone, find a better one ngl
seems like a good book to edgy for me tho
Okei, after much lazing around I've decided to drop a review on my work, as well as promises of what you can expect. OK I'll be straight, this is my first kingdom building work so I might make some mistakes, but I shall not fail to give an amazing story!
The novel follows Arkanos who as you know was Yu Chen before his death and transmigration, the amazing aspects you can expects from this work are not only building structures out of nowhere with his system due to his nearly unlimited points but also summoning of legendary heroes, creating secret organizations, battling and subjugating mythical creatures and contracting GODS!
In the early chapters things may be a bit slow, with training solders, building structures and improving the land, but after that it will be conquest after conquest! Myth after myth! Adventure after adventure!
I currently don't have any plan to expand his harem/wives since the three he has now are parts of my plan.
If you have any questions or suggestions be sure to bring em here!
Very interesting and can’t wait for the next updates
