To be honest, I'm really enjoying this, and I think I'll continue to do so even after the translation is complete. The main character doesn't have any extraordinary abilities or cheat-like powers compared to other novels. Instead, he's relatable and grounded, which I appreciate. What he does possess, though, is something that can't be bought: determination and resilience.
He's rewarded with a sweet lolita and a devoted wife who's unaware of his feelings. However, it's understandable that he might struggle with the moral implications when faced with intimate situations, like women undressing or his daughter's attraction. It's a realistic portrayal of the challenges that come with such circumstances.
What I like about this novel is the balance of world-building, everyday life elements, character growth, and subtle hints at certain themes. Some people might find the main character's hesitation to act on certain relationships off-putting, but that's part of what makes the story unique and engaging. It's not about the lack of action; it's about the development and consequences of his choices.
Comparing it to other stories, imagine if Kirito from Sword Art Online didn't hesitate with his harem, or if the Infinite Stratos protagonist took advantage of his relationships. The story wouldn't be the same without those character traits. In fact, it would become predictable and boring.
Furthermore, how often do you come across a story with a strong kuudere (aloof) character without the typical dere element? This aspect adds depth to the narrative.
I'd rate it 6 out of 5 and wouldn't mind staying up late for more. Now, regarding the early reviews – it seems unfair that those who read only a few chapters decided the book negatively. Remember, suspension of disbelief is crucial in enjoying a story. So, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey.

you can give the manhua a shot if you want since you only read up to chapter 50 of the novel, you prob havent been to any of the good parts yet, mc will have a very good charcater development, yes he is quite dense but he is not a totall *d**t he actually uses his brain, i've read RI, LOTM, ORV and SS and i gotta say this novel is very much below them but if you dont have any other good novel in ur library this is definitely worth the read.
