Okay so this whole arc with Mo Fei setting up the night market stall was genuinely satisfying to read. Like, the author didn't just throw her into a business and say 'good luck'—there was this whole sequence where the kids are the ones doing the hard selling, learning from other vendors, and honestly it made the success feel earned. The young couple being the first customer was such a smart plot move too. They post on social media, which then brings a wave of customers who see the posts and show up. It's a realistic chain of events, not some magical 'everyone loves her immediately' thing. And the detail about the purple rice selling out first, then the black rice and glutinous rice following, then customers begging her to come back tomorrow—that's proper cause and effect storytelling. The plot here is doing exactly what it should: showing momentum building through small, believable steps. The only thing I'd say is that the transition from 'successful stall day' to 'supermarket shopping spree' to 'dog attack emergency' to 'revealing superpower to kids' happened pretty fast. But honestly? I didn't mind. The story knows what it wants to be and it doesn't waste time. The real plot twist though—the space upgrading to Level 3 with a ten-minute lockout period—feels like the author is setting up a vulnerability. What if something happens during those ten minutes? That's a classic tension-building move and I'm here for it.

I'm finding this book really hard to follow. I also don't like how we get Jane's perspective, then Hunters perspective but on the same time period. I feel as though I'm just reading the same chapters over. There's too much going on.
Crazy good story and that is an understatement. Masterfully written be ready for a roller coaster of emotions. The book explores primal feelings of sexuality and power... What makes an alpha male find his match? It all starts with irreverence and from there is only gets better and better.
