Well, I think you just need to read more cultivation novels. They don't all have Heaven and Earth, though I suspect your next complain would be the Grand Dao or the 3000 Daos, lol.

HOWEVER, for some of the main racist things, you should just know that uniting humanity is impossible because Humans will always divide into two groups if there are none. So it's better to have 5 countries that compete than 1 big one that collapses from the inside (looking at you there USA), And also that many of the modern "nice" politics don't work in the long run.
Now back to the actual racism, the Author works a lot with the concept of "Power corrupts". This is very clear throughout the book. He also made clear (on discord) that the racist stuff isn't completely his opinion but is supposed to be from his body's original inhabitants side, which is logical for a 1500's noble.
Overall it's a great book, for people who think.

It's a bit fluffy with a decent pace, but it's not the type for those seeking intense drama involving dogs or blood. The story primarily revolves around Meng Chu's path to professional success, and while the characters are passable, the content can feel somewhat shallow. The romance feels forced and lacks depth. A spoiler: when the main character asks the real lead why he likes her, he responds with an odd "do I need a reason?" The synopsis is somewhat misleading, as the ex-husband subplot turns out to be unimportant; instead, it's the ex-husband's first love who drives the plot and causes conflict. I would have preferred a stronger focus on the ex-husband's character and his attempts, albeit futile, to reconcile with MC, given his past behavior. The ex-husband and his first love mainly serve as supporting characters to highlight the主角's glamorous lives and their contrasting journeys.
The narrative begins with an intriguing premise, featuring engaging characters, a well-crafted setting, and familiar yet enjoyable plot elements. The introduction of new characters and the protagonist's rising fame piques interest, as their relationships develop organically, primarily without a harem focus, which I appreciate due to its emphasis on deep character writing. Initially, the potential love interests are portrayed thoughtfully, avoiding clichéd stereotypes.
However, as the story progresses, the quality of writing takes a downturn. Subsequently, the storytelling loses its freshness. Predictable plotlines and events follow, with the MC effortlessly dominating every conflict, robbing other characters of their agency and tension. Magic battles and confrontations become formulaic, with the MC always emerging victorious, reducing the impact of the story.
While the novel started as a departure from common tropes, with a relatable protagonist and well-developed supporting cast, it ultimately succumbs to the pitfalls of many other generic stories with an overly powerful MC. The earlier focus on character growth and agency is abandoned, and the ending feels rushed and unsatisfying, marking a disappointing decline from its promising beginning.
