looks intriguing
I never want to kill a fictional character but now??? Arghhhh I hate Edward!!!! And Calina is way too soft to him!!! What a roller coaster novel but I don't have the courage to open the \\"doppelganger\\" part. Too cruel.
Fantastic book, beautiful story even all the heart ache makes this book even better
Loved it. I couldn’t stop till I had finished it.
loved it especially with the Irish twist!!
This story would have been nice without the rape, abuse, miscarriage shit... People read books or watch a movie because they want to escape the cruel reality. And even so, no woman would have been so bubbly and even atracted to a man after what she had experienced.
update plzz
First 500 chapters are very good but now it’s becoming childish the way characters behave
this book has drug on with now 455 chapters and no end in site. You get 1 chapter a day updates, if you're lucky. It's a money pit and the author doesn't care as long as she's the one taking your money. So many readers have complained and yet the author continues on. DON'T INVEST YOUR TIME AND MONEY
Qiu Xinran's eyelid has been twitching for three days. She casts a divination for herself and concludes there will be a calamity. And then — strangely — she becomes calm. "After all, fortune cannot be forced, and misfortune cannot be avoided." This resignation is the most terrifying thing in the entire novel. She KNOWS something bad is coming, and she's made peace with it. That's not acceptance — that's someone who has faced calamity before and survived, and knows it's coming again. The external stakes are enormous. Seven years ago, the northwest frontier was in crisis. General Xia Hongying was on the verge of defeat. The court argued endlessly while everyone knew the mission was "practically a death sentence." Xia Xiuyan was "the only son of General Xia and Princess Mingyang" — if he died, the family line ended. He went anyway. He won. He returned as the most celebrated general in the empire. Now the political stakes are escalating. The Empress Dowager is personally arranging his marriage. Every noble family in Chang'an wants a piece of him. And rumor is spreading that the Daoist whose divination sent him to war was deceitful. If that narrative takes hold, his entire legitimacy is questioned. He Zhong's revelation at the end raises the stakes to a breaking point: "I've often heard that when our lord came to the frontier despite his illness, it was because His Majesty listened to a deceitful Daoist…" The chapter cuts off mid-sentence, and I am absolutely losing my mind. What happens when a man who was sent to death by false prophecy returns to power, and the woman who may have known the truth is standing right in his path? The calamity Qiu Xinran foretold isn't coming — it's already here.
Love their story!
