I have a question is the book any good if not are there any better pet ones cuz this is my first one and the comments have discouraged me from reading it cuz I wanna give pet ones a try and don't wanna start off with a bad one and end up giving up on the tag really easily when there are better ones that could have gotten me into the tagAlso sorry author if this discourages you
this novel seems to be mainly focused at praising the non-existent good qualities of china and pointing fingers at rest of the countries and telling people how china is superior to every other country(this guy sounds like a scammer trying to sell fake goods when he is trying to do that????)

The text says "another teacup shattered" and several maids are kneeling trembling on the floor. This is happening almost daily now. The name of the place itself, Silent Grass Pavilion, feels like a punishment. It's dilapidated, it's isolated, and Gu Qinglian can barely sit in a chair because her injuries took nearly a month to heal. The setting itself is telling us everything about her fall from grace. Then there's the courtyard gate scene. The Old Madam storms all the way to Gu Nanyin's residence, furious, with her whole entourage, ready to confront her granddaughter. And the gate is tightly shut. Qin Xue opens it leisurely, like she's not dealing with the matriarch of the household but just someone asking for the time. The visual of the Old Madam standing there, red-faced and furious, while Qin Xue calmly draws a sword and holds it to her neck — it's cinematic. You can literally see this scene playing out. And the contrast between the two spaces is brilliant. Gu Qinglian's dilapidated courtyard versus Gu Nanyin's well-kept residence. One is a place of punishment and decay, the other is a place of power and control. Even the grandmother's own courtyard feels wrong — she's pretending to be bedridden but her voice is "robust" when she asks where Gu Nanyin is. The settings here aren't just backdrop, they're actively telling the story of who has power and who doesn't.
The Novel synopsis make me see future almost limitless face slapping and trouble because MC Low key wannabe and too many plothole, so if you want to Read it with comfort go offline your brain and just enjoy with delusion that every chapter is positive way of thinking

I tried really hard to like this. It’s a interesting concept, but the main character is a complete scumbag worthless piece of trash. A main character. Author is the main character for a reason. It has some type of qualities that makes it super outstanding and memorable to the readers minds your dude a douche piece of trash, Simp all those fun things into one and he’s a weakling so super super grading to try to read so everyone else have a good life.
