One thing I don’t understand is why do novels include unnecessary FMCs. Is the story so bland you need to add a “very beautiful”, “huge melons” support character for some tension?

I rate the book 4 out of 5 stars due to an annoying habit the author has of weaving in lengthy, fictional narratives within the main storyline. These detours often involve detailed descriptions of a movie or drama the protagonists are involved in, or even a fanfiction written by the protagonist. While I can appreciate occasional references that contribute to character development or plot progression, like in "The Star Around The Sun," the majority of these "fictional" stories take center stage, reducing the main plot to a supporting role.
If the author focused solely on their exceptional comedic, lighthearted, and imaginative situations without these distractions, their novels would undoubtedly shine even brighter. The main love interest's character, unfortunately, comes across as insecure and fearful, tugging at the reader's heartstrings. Overall, while there are redeeming qualities, the excessive use of these fictional elements prevents me from giving the book a full five-star rating.
I'm coming back to say that, this is beautiful, just from reading all the plot twists you can see how thought out the author made it, also, there are more chapters available than 212, look it up yourself if you don't believe me. Overall this is simply a masterpiece.
