And when Song Wanyue tries to comfort her, the description is just devastating in its simplicity: 'Flustered, Song Wanyue tried to wipe them away, but the more she wiped, the more fell.' That's it. That's the whole scene. No dramatic music, no grand speeches. Just a girl crying and another girl who doesn't know what to do about it. The meat jerky obsession isn't just comedy, it's symbolic of his connection to his true self. He's the anchor to this human world, but he's also learning to accept something completely outside his understanding. The arranged marriage setup becomes a metaphor for any relationship where two fundamentally different people have to find common ground. The bank card scene is particularly rich—Cen Miao refuses charity because he wants to earn his own way, which speaks to his dignity and self-worth despite being in this bizarre situation. Good story so far, solid pace, update schedule is good. Of course follows a trope, but there’s nothing bad about that. Author has their own spin on it and it’s very solid. I just hope when the harem comes into play, that there aren’t too many women, hopefully at most 3. Also I hope the author doesn’t follow those horrible harem tropes. Yk the one’s where the mc’s women get kidnapped every 20 chapters and he goes and chases them for 100 more.
