Okay so I need to talk about this scene where Fang Xun'gui literally breaks into a run under the moonlight like he's being chased by a ghost. But he's not afraid of ghosts—he's a heartless killer, right? He's afraid of his own heartbeat. That line absolutely wrecked me. The whole thing with Yuyi Yue extracting the Gu insect from him... she's so gentle about it. She wraps his fingertip with fine gauze like he's some rare treasure. And then she says "Now I can no longer threaten your life" like it's the most casual thing in the world. But it's not casual at all, is it? She's removing the last thread that binds him to her, and he knows it. What kills me is that she's genuinely kind to him. She doesn't ask for revenge. She doesn't want anything from him except... well, she offers to pay him for helping with the secret chamber. She's treating him like a normal person. And that's exactly why he's running. I kept thinking about Zhan Yan's words—"you'd have such a tender haven outside the pavilion." The way she looked at him afterward. She knows. Everyone knows except maybe Yuyi Yue herself, or maybe she knows and just doesn't care because she's too pure for this world. "I like listening to stories. Later, tell me your story. You must be an interesting person." She has no idea what she's doing to him. And he has no idea how to respond to someone who sees him as worth knowing. This is the kind of slow-burn tension that makes you want to shake both characters. He wants to stay away. She wants to help. And the reader is just sitting there screaming. God, I love this writing.
Great story!!!
nice story
I LOVE this story!!!! SOOOOO good!!!!
I was going to delete this app and then I found this Book. I love this story so much. It is very well written and the emotions, reactions and interactions are highly realistic. Ms Karima is officially my best author. I have clung to this book and have been able to put my phone down.
Next chapters please. its getting interesting
it's a good start so far. But it going to cost a lot of money to open chapters and it's still ongoing.
Recommendation: His Deplorable Mate is a great werewolf story.

I absolutely loved this book. Part 1 and Part 2 take you on a roller coaster ride and it's all worth ride. It's an intense, but one you will not regret. One of my favorites that will stay in my collection.
