Okay, I need to talk about Si Han because this character absolutely wrecked me. Three years in hiding, living like a ghost, wearing a baseball cap just to hide half his face from people who might recognize him. That detail about the cap — it's not just a fashion choice, it's a shield. He's so afraid of being spotted by an extreme hater that he walks through Capital Star with his face in shadow. That's not someone who quit the industry, that's someone who was buried alive by it. And Lin Yi reaching out to him? That's the kind of move that tells you everything about both of them. Lin Yi isn't just looking for evidence — he's looking for someone who understands what it means to be used and discarded by the same person. When Si Han asks "What do you want?" with such wariness, you can feel the weight of three years of isolation in those four words. He's not suspicious of Lin Yi — he's suspicious of everyone, because everyone has hurt him before. But then the moment that got me: Si Han's reply about the recording. "I did not! The one who really had ties with the investors wasn't me at all, it was him." He sends it and immediately feels ridiculous — because who would believe him? He's already been declared guilty in the court of public opinion. The tragedy isn't just that Su Qing destroyed him, it's that Su Qing destroyed him so completely that even the truth sounds like the ramblings of a has-been. the story itself is promising i like the way it opened the beginning of the story and i like the system, but the characters really do fall flat especially the MC the author is maybe trying to hard to be funny, like the mc i know he is mentally unstable cause of everything that happened but it’s not really fleshed well the author just makes him like annoyingly unserious because he’s insane like a really bad joker and spider-man combined, so it doesn’t flesh his character out well
Every chapter keeps me hooked! I can't wait to see Ben’s rise from the darkness.
