This is at best a average novel but the writer keeps it interesting and not boring like the other basketball novel.Overall it's readable and Grammer is ok but I'm hooked
Nice start.The moment where you get a thrill of way more than you have asked or wished for... after being on d verge if death... oh my.Makes me wish to experience that but... careful what you wish for.Love the way and manner author began the novel and the new world given.if you want a novel with lots of fighting, leveling up, mixed with races and fantasy...mind ya scary creatures then yeah, you came at d right stop.The autjor's way of description had me reeled in and I could envision what was happening as though I was there.His world building, character design and story development are on point.Simply put, it's one of a kind like his other books.

Okay so I need to talk about the emotional tension between these two because it is NOT normal and I love it. On the surface it's this sweet older-brother-younger-brother dynamic, right? Shu Xian is all protective and caring, buying ice cream, letting Li Wu lean on him. But then you have these moments where Li Wu's gaze just goes DARK and I'm sitting there like... bro, you're looking at your brother like he's your future husband, not someone you're related to by blood. The haunted house scene is peak emotional manipulation. Shu Xian is literally covering Li Wu's eyes, walking in front to protect him, and Li Wu is just... melting. "The little fan's hand was small, and covering his eyes felt soothing, almost like comfort." This is supposed to be Shu Xian protecting LI WU, but the roles keep reversing and it's so delicious. Li Wu is the one who's actually scared, the one who needs protection, and yet he's also the one holding all the power in their relationship. And then the car scene at the end? "I only like Brother." Said with this intense gaze that makes Shu Xian tell him to watch the road. That line hit me like a truck. It's so casually devastating. Li Wu says it like it's nothing, but it's basically a confession wrapped in sibling language. How is Shu Xian supposed to navigate this when he's already got four future husbands to set up?? The jealousy undertones are everywhere too. When Jian Fang gives Li Wu merchandise, Li Wu's gaze turns vicious instantly. When Shu Xian leaves him with a stranger at the amusement park, Li Wu confronts him with "Brother, will you lie to me?" This kid is keeping score and I am HERE for it. The emotional complexity of this relationship is what makes the whole novel work for me.

Okay, let me just say this outright: Song Zhiyao is absolutely NOT someone you mess with, and the author knows it. The entire Qingshan Courtyard confrontation in these chapters is a masterclass in how to handle a revenge scene without making it feel cheap. She doesn't come in with some elaborate scheme—she walks in, listens to Lin Guanguan's half-truths, and then just SLAPS her. Twice. No monologue, no dramatic pause, just action. And the best part? Lu Yanzhi watches the whole thing and doesn't stop her. Not once does he say 'wait, let's talk about this.' He just stands there, cold as ice, letting his wife handle it while he deals with the kid. What really impressed me though is how the plot threads connect. Lin Guanguan's line about 'girls being worthless' doesn't just disappear—it travels straight to Madam Lu, and that's what finally tips the scales. Madam Lu had been tolerating Qingshan Courtyard for years, but once she hears that nonsense, she moves. Fast. She fires servants, orders Lu Jinyu to move out, and essentially declares war on Lin Guanguan's influence over Lu Yan. The cause-and-effect chain is so clean it's almost satisfying. And then that ending—'I want to talk to you about a divorce.' AFTER all that family warmth and resolution, she drops this bomb. The plot just did a complete 180. I was not ready for that.

This is another awesome book in the series. The author has a special way to keep you coming back for more.. well worth the read
