The cover just makes me feel... wrong.
All I see is an old woman in a body of little girl with a kid leaning on her, her smile oozing manipulation intent into grooming a tool, otherwise known as a simp, a fool or a fake-dog.
Beware, i judge not the story content. Just my feelings on the cover. You got bewared
Nian junting is a narcisstic man child with a poisonous tongue but sometimes he can be really cool and cute too
I really really love the story, but I feel like the later chapters were rushed. It can be drag on. It's really a pity to rush the ending chapters of a good book!
What does Mc mean when he said on chapter 78 "Beside a male doesn't deserve a birthday party"???
The review I'm providing is only one star, but I'm giving an extra +1 star for those who might find solace in this – you are a unique group. The usual tropes apply: toxic alpha, sensitive omega, and their dynamic. My poor brain, always drawn to mpreg and omegaverse stories, despite knowing the disappointment that awaits. I've wasted so much energy on this, questioning my decision.
To clarify, if you wonder why I persist despite the toxicity, it's because I was hoping for a tragic ending – a chance to give this book a slightly better rating. Alas, it preyed on my emotions, and it did so successfully. If this had ended tragically, perhaps a genuine two or even three stars would have been possible. But alas, no.
If you relate to me, someone struggling with mental health, maybe this novel speaks to you – though I caution, tread carefully. ??
* Gasps in disbelief * The MC's actions have left me stunned. Claiming to be an upright immortal, yet causing harm? Even if ML was destined to become a great villain, how can she justify her righteousness? That's why I avoid xianxia novels; it's too much for me. (╥_╥)
As other readers mentioned, one must steel oneself to endure this story. Frankly, the world-building feels lackluster, and I haven't formed any strong connections with the characters despite skimming through it.
Regarding the ML's treatment, while some may empathize, I can understand MC's perspective given ML's past actions, like saving Ye Bingshang first despite being married to the original. But that doesn't mean I condone her behavior. (눈_눈)
The storytelling is disorienting, with abrupt plot twists that bring on emotional turmoil. If you enjoy dark, intense narratives involving loyalty tests and ruthless relationships, this might be your cup of tea. Good luck, though it's not my preferred genre. (╥╥)
"\\"Systemless in a Parallel World\\" captivated me with its unique blend of science fiction and human emotions. The narrative weaved an intricate tapestry of parallel universes, leaving me pondering the nature of existence. The protagonist's journey was both exhilarating and thought-provoking, as they grappled with identity and the limits of free will. The storytelling was engaging, seamlessly blending action with introspection. A must-read for those who crave imaginative escapades that resonate with the depths of our souls."
Seeing the first two comment that catched my eye, it seems to be a promising read. So, I'ma gonna read it.
I mean he leaves but only when really needed. Overall I really enjoyed the read, it was amazing, literally decided to come back and re-read it.
I don't know why I keep thinking of the Khan from Overgeared lol
Update plssss
Don't bother reading it, it's bad. I do love beast-cultivation-type novel, the idea was good but the story doesn't make sense. The author forget stuff when it's not even the hundredth chapter, as someone said before double unlocking of ear awareness. The evolution path doesn't make sense, don't get me started on the grade of the beast, the wolf grades are normal, rare, uncommon, hero, epic when we are told that the grades are normal, rare, epic and hero...
