This man doesn't talk much, doesn't do grand speeches, but when it matters he draws a line and the whole family trembles. And then the whole household splitting thing—"I. Want. To. Divide. The. And Lu Cheng sees all of that and chooses to protect her, to split from his own blood family for her. That's not just romance, that's partnership. That's someone who actually sees you. I keep thinking about Wen Yan's perspective too—she watched all of this and thought Lu Cheng was a responsible man because he shielded his wife. But then she muttered "Your judgment isn't very sharp." And I'm sitting here like—wait, what does that mean? What is Wen Yan planning? Because clearly she's not just some background educated youth character. There's something underneath her head and I cannot wait to find out what it is.
Let me just say this: the pacing in these chapters is absolutely relentless and I cannot complain because every scene pulls you forward. Chapter 20-27 starts with Leon meeting Xiao Yu's friends — which is already high-stakes social territory for any alpha, let alone one who is secretly a shape-shifting tiger. The dinner scene establishes the friend group dynamics quickly but effectively. Then they go to the nightclub, where the tension ramps up through Leon's jealousy (the phone-smashing), Xiao Yu's drunken flirting (which we know is harmless but still), and the gossip about Leon's past as a boxer. By the time they get back to the apartment, Leon has gone from sulking orange cat to full-on possessive tiger circling an unconscious omega, and then to tender caretaker warming cold legs. That is a LOT of emotional ground covered in a very short span. What I appreciate most is how the author uses Leon's transformations as pacing devices. Every time he shifts form, the tone shifts too. Cat = comedic relief. Tiger = predatory tension. Human = vulnerable intimacy. The nightclub scene is all cat-form comedy, the apartment scene starts with tiger-form intensity and ends with human-form tenderness before snapping back to cat-form for the hangover tea. It's like the author is using shape-shifting as a narrative metronome, and it works beautifully. The chapter ends with Leon doing chores at 3 AM while Xiao Yu sleeps, and then... author's note. No cliffhanger, just a little "here we go!" cheer. Which is actually perfect because it gives you a moment to breathe before the next wave of chaos. I was already dying to read the next chapter though, so breathe I did not.
It's not a bad plot. Not consistent in terms of plot, especially when transitioning every chapter. Also, the whole Man City plot is straight-up dumb. Instead of selling his stock, he kept it so he could be a beta cuck who get his opinion rejected. Like seriously dumb. Mc acts like he wanna buy a club but can't due to his sellable stock at Man City. Easy solution, sell it, too bad Mc and author give dumb excuses to not sell the stock. I get Mc not buying Watford, but Mc not buying Man U is just dumb especially since he knew when Man U was brought. That was just some of the issues.

Well your novel only has 20 chapters so can't reall judge how it will turn out, but I'm liking it as of now, I particularly liked that grim reaper and her quirky character ,in the end I will only say keep going.
I think the story has potential the wold is impressive as much as the first chapter tells us about the world I would like the writer to upload chapters quickly so I can get to know how it goes. The thing is I can't be sure just by reading the first chapter
