I love the suspense
loveeeeeee
Okay, I need to talk about this moment because it absolutely wrecked me. Jiang Nong has been reborn with this whole mission to kill Yu Lingxin before he becomes some future tyrant, right? She's been cold, distant, planning his death like it's just a checkbox. But then this assassination happens and Yu Lingxin literally throws himself in front of an arrow meant for Chao Ning. And Chao Ning—oh god, Chao Ning breaks down. He's the one who orchestrated this whole thing, and he's covered in Yu Lingxin's blood, and he can't stop saying 'I don't know what to do anymore.' That scene where he crouches down and clutches his head and sounds like he's about to sob? I actually had to pause the book. This guy planned a murder and now he's realizing the person he killed was actually... good? The greatest good person in the world, he says. But the real gut-punch is Jiang Nong's internal shift. She's sprinting to Yu Lingxin's tent and thinking: 'Such a good person—he had to live!' After being reborn and spending who knows how long hating him, wanting him dead, she just... flips. Completely. 'It didn't matter if he became deranged in the future—that was the future. Nothing had happened yet.' That line hit me like a truck. She's choosing to save someone based on who they are NOW, not who they might become. That's such a powerful emotional pivot. And then Yu Lingxin, half-dead, bleeding everywhere, still manages to comfort HER. 'Sister, don't cry... Prince Chao Ning... as long as he's safe... I know I'm not worthy of you... Sister and Prince Chao Ning... will be happy.' He's dying and his first thought is making sure she's okay, that she gets what she wants. I'm not crying, you're crying. The author really knows how to weaponize tenderness. This isn't some edgy, angsty romance—this is someone who has spent their whole life being bullied and treated like trash, and when given a chance to be cruel, chooses kindness instead. That's what makes Jiang Nong's conversion so earned. She's not falling for a fantasy; she's falling for a person who has never once asked for anything in return.

very good so far. The chapters are very interesting. A really good piece.
An overall happy and drama-free novel!
The only downside is the loose ends with the side characters and the abrupt ending that didn't feel conclusive.
But other than that, I really enjoyed this novel! ☺️
Pictorially, the reviewer expressed their thoughts honestly, echoing my sentiments. I can't comprehend the negative ratings either. I'm thrilled this novel is being translated, so I'd like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the translators. I hope Su Bei receives more recognition.
From a narrative, character development, and overall atmosphere standpoint, I believe this novel closely rivals "Replay in a Prestigious School" from Ex Rank Supporting Role, though they are distinct works. If you enjoyed one, chances are you'll enjoy the other. Give it a try if you're even remotely intrigued – you won't be disappointed!
Additionally, it's worth noting that this novel is designated as Non-CP (no main romantic relationship) on jjwxc, which is a significant plus for those who prefer that genre.
I mistook it for only i am a necromancer
Thanks but not right now, it's exam season and I don't want a stain that's gonna stay with me for life. :-(
IT'S FINALLY BACK!!!!
so how is the novel??
Have you read 48 hours a day? It’s short but neat ig. It seems fire mage is about to follow the trend… but it’s written pretty mid… I don’t really know about world hopping novels. Search it up on novel updates Reddit or qidian, I don’t know.
