This image sums up my experience.
I really enjoy this story because while their are some cliches it is done in a entertaining way. Also I can tell the translator put a lot of effort into the translation which is something I always appreciate. I just hope WN will pick this series up.
I really thought that as the story progressed the MC would make some better decisions or maybe abandon them, but it didn't stay that simple.
This novel... I... I actually wasted my time with it. I am not even going to complain about the characters because I can't be bothered... I will complain about how SLOW the story is moving at. I am 54 chapters in and I can only tell you a few memorable moments. These moments are why I gave it 3.5 stars. 1) He actually feels terrified when he killed someone for the first time, like a sane human. Sadly, they go and ****en ruin it by making the MC suddenly feel nothing. +0.5 stars2) The MC went to prison for a bit. Most MCs never go to prison ever in a magical realism novel, even though they murder and fight so many people... +1 starTo be dead honest, this novel would have gotten an easy 2 star from me if it weren't for these moments. This is one of those novels you read when you are insanely bored.
The author gathered elements of lovecraft's work which honestly was very well written, were it not for the propaganda of Chinese morality that grows like cancer throughout the book. There are three tenses in the narrative: The near past, the imperial past, and the future. The fusion of the three is not articulated. It is common for the author to praise a morality only to end it in the next paragraph preaching the opposite.
I will give as much support as I can this one looks like it will be a great mix between the Korean acquiring talent in a dungeon and the entire video game harem genera mix.
Stupid harem novels get translated without delay whereas good novels such as this one is not getting translated in English... Good Work.....
Could've been a perfect harem novel without the yuri, I don't get why Haruko still seeks comfort and affection to her girls when Ruki already came back. Found it baffling that she doesn't even want her affection for them to be diminished as if MC wasn't enough for her, hopefully she throw that affection away in the future to focus on MC no matter how cruel it is. It is also out of character for the MC to he non-competitive and even let her and her girls still love each other..Can't even find a harem without yuri in it sigh..Overall this novel is very good if you ignore the yuri harem, I feel like the story wouldn't even change much if you cast them aside.
The poor editing and overall lack of flow make it difficult for me to recommend this one to anybody. The 4.8 rating mystifies me. Does it improve dramatically further in? I couldn't be bothered to find out.
Just having fubuki as the main romance girl and this not having harem is enough for me to make it like this.................................
This author cant seem to continue his stories. Look on royalroad he drops his stories. This started out great but then the multiple pov got confusing af so I dropped it and also author has discontinued this soo reading this wont be worth ur time.
Amazing world and detail. Not your generic type novel it actually has feelings and every character introduce is unique. To be honest it is most likely the best novel I've ever read in my life time.
