I gave full marks to the story, but I am dropping at the 3rd Arc due my personal preferences. The writing quality is very good with minimal mistakes that are few and far between. Author keeps the reader in the dark about the story so as things happen they are fresh and satisfying. The things that got me turned off enough to stop are things most readers are happy with. 1. The constant line " I have to get stronger" is rammed down the readers throat sometimes multiple times over these small chapters.2. The plot of him hiding his strength while trying to play both a strong character and the weak character around the same characters is one thing I myself have trouble reading for a prolonged time. For me there comes a point the drama to do so is an annoyance and it loses its appeal. Again most readers like this and accept it whole heartedly.3. Because of his dual personality as weak and strong it makes most of the story just himself so it turns into inner monologue after inner monologue. Sometimes you get whole chapters that are an inner monologue. The monologues are well written and do add some to the story, but for me they are just too frequent. I didn't get far enough to see if or when Rey has a character growth as we are still only a couple months into the story.Overall very good story, just a few thing that affect me more than most, but keep up the good work.

From the title alone, this book invites appetites to read. The title "Historical System" is truly unique. The author wants to show that reading activity can be equivalent. This book is written in a coherent manner so that it is very easy to understand.

End of a magic era cultivation-style. Unfortunately compared to Mafa Merlin MC of this novel is a braindead bonobo. His cunning level is -5, instead of laying low a few months for unshakable Foundation he keeps getting into fights with people way above his level and fucks up his cultivation against his own advice... Instead of cultivating he gets into all kinds of trouble just to get back into his clan that exiled him? The novel completely devolves into generic xianxia thrash despite the good setting.
It surprisingly started differently. He transmigrated to just when the villain was born. The writing quality is average, not boring, not exciting either. There are grammatical errors that aren't that much of a big deal. So far, it's better than those rushed novels in this platform. The writing is also like that of wattpad style. I don't usually encounter a novel with mixture of first person pov and omniscient pov. I'll update this review in the following chapters.
If you like Metropolitan System, I have written a Novel based on it, which can be considered it's part 2 where Jiang Bai is Super Overpowered. And time travels back to live a life of luxury and without the help of System he is doing things way more overbearing. It starts from the 2nd last chapter of the Original Novel. He regains his Harem in style and protects them from harm by being prudent. It has more action. You will love it specially if you were tired of the repeated plots where small fries who did not know Jiang Bai kept offending him.
