Outside, the fox man was pulling a block of ice out his saddlebag when a gust of wind blew his hair back. His sister arrived in a whirl of dust. Her eyes were wide and she began inspecting his bike. 'Dear God, are those sparkles? That's got to be an illusion." He thought as he looked at the excited woman.
She never made a coherent sentence again.
As he looked over to Azara he noticed she had somehow knocked out the giant wolf and was struggling to keep standing herself. One of her arms was also cut badly and bleeding heavily. "The winner is A-rank adventurer Nick Anderson!" The referee announced, a chorus of cheers erupting from the crowd that was previously silent from anticipation. With that announcement Nick let out a deep sigh of relief as he dropped his sword.
"I need to get stronger," Finn concluded solemnly. "And, we shouldn't accept tasks so easily next time."
Arata handed over four written letters over to the guard at the gate entrance. The guard looked them over before nodding and letting them past. Arata walked past the guard, nodding politely. Following behind him were Ryouma and Damien carrying a struggling, kicking and complaining young boy with dark green hair.
