Struggling so hard, to finish this novel
But i give up, and i dont recommend this novel.
Its definitely not a good novel, AT MOST its score 4/10.
I'm on chapter 55, and this is one of the most boring things ever. There's nothing going on except for the MC very, very, very, very slowly learning how to do things in the military and constantly being compared to his older brother.
The novel is not bad. I'm pretty early on and the story is quite generic up to this point but that doesn't necessarily make it bad and it's to early for me to tell that.
But somehow it gives me the feeling that the writer never played multilayer games and was mevwr part of any community related to it.
Question here is it the harem part or the fact that the author mentions that 2 adults went 20 toes. Now this is only my opinion so take it with a grain of salt, but I'd rather have an author acknowledge the fact that it happens. VS just having the MC be so dense he doesn't even know girls like him and stuff. I'd rather have a "fade to black" scene over that at least let's you know he's a human vs some ken like smooth faced borderline androgynous MC. I don't know if it's only just me but I've read plenty of books where I was like " What is the MC doing dude she obviously likes you man up and just like that song kiss da girl" Anyways as mentioned before all my own opinion. I haven't even reached Chapter 7 yet, and I'm already struggling to continue. There are numerous issues with the setting and characters that bother me. The story feels incredibly detached from reality, even within a fantasy context. Characters should exhibit relatable behavior, like being human (logical, emotional, or empathetic), but these characters act more like robots or aliens. The author's portrayal of society after VR technology dominates is absurd - an EMP would render their entire world collapse, and I'm unsure how society functions in this setup.
The game itself is full of inconsistencies. A character claims to have played for four years, yet their stats, skills, and equipment remain stagnant. It's baffling how they expect old players to adapt to a transformed reality. When the protagonist regains consciousness, they instinctively chew on grass and taste their drool, yet overlook their gender change. This character lacks foresight, planning, and caution, displaying unusual behaviors like staring at butterflies and ignoring conversations.
The game mechanics are intrusive, forcing players to join a country with harsh consequences if they don't comply. This indicates a poorly designed "trash" game, considering it's received only two updates in four years, which might be a relief for players. The lack of technological progress for those trapped in the game for 30 years makes it reminiscent of "Log Horizon," where everyone is essentially primitive.
There are countless other problems, but ultimately, the lack of depth and immersion in the details is disappointing. Based on these issues, my rating would be:

A rating of 2.5 would reflect the unevenness, with some decent writing but a lack of complexity. The excessive praise might stem from occasional flashes of well-executed elements, such as the graphic violence.
