If I'm honest, I'm surprised. At the begining you'll think that's some lame story but progressively you learn more about the characters and understand why they are the way they are, even the unhealthy relationship between them.

It's just face-slapping galore with a little bit of great action here and there. And to make it worse, the problem that leads to the face-slapping is so repetitive so it got stale pretty quickly.

But when it comes to action and romance stuff, it's actually great and i love it. Those two are the things that made me stay this long. Author should really try to make actual action and romance novel instead of this face-slapping mess.

There's also the issue of pacing. Author really loves to drag the sh*t outta the stuffs that lead to the face slapping yet they simplified so many things that's actually interesting. Due to that, the timeline progresses very, very slowly.
I have a question: why is artezia the heir of the marquessate? If Lawrence is older, a guy and also so favoured, why isn't he the first in line of succession?
Does anyone know if there are any novels where the MC is a woman and she goes on an actual cultivation journey facing of against deadly enemies or going on crazy adventures? Or is every female MC story about romance, being a sex slave to her worst enemy or waking up to find she's married to a an evil dictator overlord ?

Oh my goodness, I really dislike this story. It seems to have the most unfortunate aspects of romance novels, not just in theBL genre. Initially, I hoped to finish the first volume without reviewing, assuming the male lead, Rong Tian, would meet a tragic end. However, that doesn't seem to be the case.
The plot revolves around a reincarnation tale, but here's the twist: The main character (MC)重生到了一个软弱、顺从且酗酒的王子身上, often viewed as an annoyance by those around him. This happens due to severe emotional and physical abuse at the hands of the regent, who is also the love interest (ML) – someone I wouldn't mind having in a story. The prince was tormented to the point where even minor movements caused excruciating pain, and he covered his injuries with clothing.
What makes it worse is that the prince turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism, numbing the pain until he eventually resorted to suicide. That's when the MC's soul enters the prince's body. Thankfully, the ML begins to notice the change, realizing that the prince he treated poorly is now a different person with newfound determination in his eyes. He starts treating the MC better, almost like a toy – a captive plaything meant to fall in love with him, because he's kind-hearted.
This storyline explores Stockholm syndrome, where forced affection becomes a substitute for genuine love.
