"Didn't you heard what I said earlier?"
Am I really born to cause commotions every time? I appeared in front of them instantly. I did not mean to shock you again guys, sorry.
The pacing in these chapters is absolutely relentless in the best way. Let me break down why. Chapter 9 opens with immediate tension — people tracked them down, there was danger, Oda shows up to "protect" Kii. But instead of dwelling on the fight, the author pivots HARD into domestic comedy. One moment they're dealing with assassins, the next they're arguing about whether being a mail carrier is a good career choice. That whiplash is intentional and it works. The job-hunting sequence is where the pacing really shines. It starts light — Doraemon manga, casual conversation — then drops the business card bomb. The reader's pulse probably spikes the same way Kii's does. Then the quick back-and-forth interrogation (is it a friend? old boss? what's the salary?) feels like a scene from a heist movie, except they're just trying to figure out what to do for a living. And then — cheek pinch. Comedy. Fridge hiding. The whole thing deflates the tension perfectly before pivoting again to the heavier "are we companions?" moment in Chapter 11. Chapter 11's pacing is slower but no less effective. The internal monologue about friendship labels drags intentionally — you feel Kii's anxiety in real time. Then the failed sneaking-attempts sequence is pure comedy relief, but it also advances the relationship. Every beat serves double duty. The chapter ends on "I'd like to try becoming a detective" — a cliffhanger that's quiet but hooks you because you know this world is dangerous and that choice matters. No explosion, no death threat, just a simple statement that carries the weight of everything that came before.
Meanwhile, I have got 6 other urgent reports to return to.
The unused warrants which numbers in an astronomical number of 7,000,000,000 are used as militia. With batches and batches of forces sent out to space for the ultimate explore and conquer mission, there is nothing to say with how much power we have.
Gene stopped in his tracks again. "You're really in a good mood, aren't you?"
Xiulan finally stops Zhu from whatever brutality she was doing. "Zhu, enough. You will kill him. Stop it." Xiulan calmly said as she begs Zhu to stop. She held onto Zhu's arms.
They walked toward the end of the corridor and saw that there was a great red door with 2 golden statues beside it. The right statue was that of a young man with a sword in its hand.
I froze. 'Crap!' I slowly turn away to see my mom with a clipboard in her hands. She looked disappointed in me. I walked up to her. "Hi mom! May I say you look so good today!" I put on a fake smile.
"First off, who the fuck are you, secondly, I am not apologizing to a fucking pancake with tits slapped on it. Author, are you shitting me?"
"Yea here my King" as Hermit raised the box over his head and gave it to the King
"You dare give order to me," Li Fu Ling said. Su Lan got on the floor.
