***A short walk and 4 bad puns later~~***
But I heard it was named like that because it's the first city of the kingdom that sees the sunrise each day. But who cares?
Wu dong came out of the bathroom humming a tune still wearing a robe as he walked towards the closet and opened it.He was surprised Nie hadn't said anything as she heard the door open. He stole a sneak peek at her and smiled. On the bed was a small mushy figure sprawled on the covers still holding on to a pillow as she breathed softly. Her small eyes were shut tightly and her lips were pouted into a small rosebud as she slept. Her brows were still raised in a comical angle. He shook his head as he walked towards her. Slowly he extracted the pillow from her arms and arranged the covers quietly before covering her well. She didn't even stir as he adjusted her. He ruffled her hair as he snickered. Just a while ago she was ordering him not to take long and here she was already asleep! He snorted as he planted a kiss on her head and walked back to the closet. Suddenly he stopped and slowly retracted his gaze back to his daughter. Soft brown curls, brown eyes, rosebud lips, comical eyebrows...Just like Her. He was suddenly reminded of a grown vision of Nie's mother and his expression darkened deeply. Though it was only fleetingly, he still stood rooted momentarily. Suddenly as if it was a trance, it passed. Wu dong shook off the already shut out memories. Smiling a bittersweet smile he adjusted the covers again blowing a kiss towards his daughter.
I walked through the boys' room, and their silence was such that I thought I heard the sound of their eyes following me. I entered David's room without knocking and threw the envelope with the two-hundred-page book on his desk, but he was on a call and did not pay any attention. I went down to Haddock Lobo Avenue, it was drizzling, the street was deserted, the water murky and dark. I sought shelter at a coffee, and wondered if I would ever know how to live far from the city, or at least in a city that did not end up like this, in an accident, but dying on all sides. After a while, looking at the rain and the water line advancing on the sidewalk, I felt my body move forward slightly; it was as if instead of the water level rising, the street sank. I got into the neighbourhood, rushed into a pharmacy and greeted the clerk, but I left without knowing why I had come in. I ordered a draft beer at the corner bar, I saw a travel agency straight away, I dropped the draft, crossed the street and bought two tickets to Shanghai.
"Ugh, why do I have to? You don't even know him." I rolled my eyes and still, checking my phone.
Dealing a great force on his side and a sharp pain erupting from his body, he spat a mouthful of saliva before flying away from the crazy woman and crashing twenty meters away.
With a slight bow, my assailant apologized. But it came out devoid of much emotion. "My apologies Grandmaster. I could not pass up a teaching moment."
Poor Ellen, confounded at the accusation, repelled it as untrue, and said she knew well enough who seduced me.
"YING!" He howled.
