I'm really disappointed. Everyone in this story is shockingly stupid. They swing their swords whenever they get the chance, without thinking about the consequences.
Most of the plot could have been resolved or avoided entirely if the characters were smarter.

Isn't that the purpose? Why focus on his failed past life? I thought he was using this second chance at life to seize opportunities? Isn't it easier to use future knowledge?
I'm confused at what point you're trying to make? I've seen multiple stories mc relaying on their past life so what's bad about that?

He intentionally endangered the life of his wife/kids by not fixing her car, forcing her to take public transport, made her quit her job, fired the 15 year old maid (he was afraid he would get in trouble legally if he seduced her), forced his wife to be the maid, cheated because she gained weight.
