Great book a few mistakes but so worth the read
The sensory details in this opening are surprisingly vivid for a rebirth story. We get the sharp pain in her forehead, the warm blood on her fingers, the familiar earthen walls, the worn wooden table, farming tools piled in the corner. It's a rural Chinese setting that feels lived-in, not just a backdrop. The author doesn't over-describe, but the few details they choose land well. What really struck me was the contrast between the ancient-feeling poverty (5 fen, 50 cents monthly wage, crumpled bills) and the modern intrusion of Alipay notifications. "Alipay received 5 yuan." That electronic ping in a room full of people who think she's broke is such a sharp, almost cinematic moment. It's the kind of detail that makes the world feel real—technology existing alongside extreme poverty, creating these weird friction points. The apple orchard subplot is also interesting worldbuilding. It's not just a setting detail; it's the source of the family's conflict. Ten years of unpaid rent, the uncle pretending poverty while secretly buying vehicles, the grandmother's bias—all of it is rooted in this one piece of land. The author is building a world where economic desperation and family resentment are intertwined, and it feels authentic, not manufactured.

Anyone got a novel were mc actually as talent not worthless or has to get talents from a system?
My eyes are glistening with unshed tears as I have just finished this. Give it a try, it's probably not the best, nor the most entertaining, but it's enough.
Hope you like it.
First ten or so chapters are a bit dark though, be prepared.
