Great book, hope to read some more of it soon!
excellent storyline
This is sooo good! I can not WAIT for the next chapter!
Fast reader ... Love the chapters I have seen so far... two or more chapters a day would meet my three book reading requirements.
where is book 2, I don't see it anywhere ???
I need to talk about Consort De because WOW. The way she looks at Yinzhen — "her expression was complex, carrying an indescribable strangeness" — and then deliberately emphasizes the words "Fourth Prince" in a way that sounds "particularly uncomfortable"? The author doesn't even need to spell it out. We KNOW what that look means. It's the look of a woman who blames another woman's children for her own suffering, and she's already planning her next move. But what made me genuinely furious wasn't even her hostility toward the princes — it was how she vented on Yinzuo first, then redirected all that poison toward Yinzhen. The kid just wanted a toy. His mother used him as an emotional punching bag and then got mad at HIM for crying. And then when Yinzhen shields Yin You, her expression grows "even gloomier." Gloomier. She's a grown woman in a position of power and she's threatened by a child protecting his brother. Meanwhile, the Imperial Noble Consort — Yin You's mother — handles the exact same situation with restrained grace. She listens to her son's fragmented account, pieces together what happened, and makes the smart political call to not escalate to the Grand Empress Dowager. But you can feel the steel underneath her softness. "If it were merely a case of two children having a minor disagreement... she had no choice but to pay attention." Because it's not about the frog. It never was. The emotional core of these chapters is really about motherhood in a palace where every interaction is a power play. The Imperial Noble Consort's love for Yin You is fierce but controlled. Consort De's love for Yinzuo is smothering and distorted. Both are real. Both are damaging. And the children are just trying to survive it.
????????? I'm heartbroken, but only because this series is over. No One's Luna and The Rogue's Winter Revenge are my favorite books now and I'll recommend them to everyone! I'll read anything by LilyDean in the future !
very nice book to read
I don’t know how you do it. I always think that there’s couldn’t be a book better than the one I’m reading, and then you Prove me wrong. Wow
