The author, known for their work on "Oh no! After I Reincarnated, My Moms Became Son-cons!", continues to captivate readers with their love for yandere and intricate family dynamics. This latest offering begins with a father and daughter relationship, adding an Isekai twist to the mix. The protagonist initially believes himself unlucky due to lacking any extraordinary powers or advantages (though there might be hidden potential yet to be revealed), and because of a significant event following his reincarnation.
The story promises a mother figure, or possibly multiple, entering the protagonist's family, setting the stage for potential conflict and competition. The daughter is revealed to be of a non-human race, carrying a dark backstory befitting her kind. Two additional female characters, both humans, have been introduced by the fifth chapter – one is a domineering ruler with a sadistic edge, while the other is a skilled warrior with a kind heart, though their full potential remains to be seen.
For fans of the author's previous works, this series holds Easter eggs, making it a must-read. If you enjoy stories centered around yandere and the dynamics between women, this electrifying new series should definitely pique your interest!
The main character's development was excellent; I appreciated the blend of light-hearted and serious moments throughout the story. While the protagonist's personality can be selfish, he isn't unnecessarily rude, which made him quite likable. The love interest was a supportive and loving partner, and their relationship didn't suffer from unnecessary angst, which was refreshing.
However, I was less satisfied with how the main character's PTSD was handled. The issue seemed too significant to be completely and solely resolved simply by sleeping next to his lover, especially given that this trauma stems from his friends and family dying in horrific ways. It just felt a bit oversimplified and didn't do the issue justice.
, the story is enjoyable, and I definitely recommend giving it a try if you enjoy entertainment industry narratives with strong protagonists.
I salute you, kind sir. o7
I thoroughly enjoy the story. FL isn't overpowered; she's an ancient girl who genuinely tries her best in life. She possesses her own strength and honesty, not being the most cunning but rather perceptive. The male lead (ML) embodies the classic "cold exterior, warm heart" persona. He has an overpowering presence, a tragic backstory, and a prince title, but what captivates me is his character development. Initially, he's quite cynical, but as he starts to acknowledge the subtle shifts in his emotions and actions, he accepts them and moves forward.
Overall, it's a light-hearted read without excessive drama. The villains aren't central to the plot; you share the perspective of the FL protagonist.
