I am the alt of Potato of time,I must say this novel is very good with currently whatever chapter thestatsguy wrote in one of the review which i speedbliz through since I’m too lazy to check, Our Mc is is a doctor but not a doctor at the same time? Harem? Yes it is a harem since his dream is to have a harem full of beautiful woman so he can impregnate all of them to bear his offspring so his plan of thousandth World domination #13 Infinite sperm which is to drown the enemy in with his own ####### :), too be honest I’m drunk af and I have some ideas which is racist or not? So I running out of ideas since all my ideas in my head right now is pretty much racist and I don’t want my reputation to go down the drain even through it already happen the moment I wrote the potato reviews on several female novels which I think I pretty much offended many females reader who love that book which I don’t bother to say too, you might see this as a joke but really I gave this book a 5star max since I am willing to try reading it unlike silver overlord which I just didn’t even complete readin a single chapter :), good luck to all of you And Pls use your vote stones on the new cultivation female novel called pheonix something I think? I dunno lol but this review is a joke :)
I tried reading this cause I like system plots and it has a modern martial arts twist in it.. but daaaanng I hate how every woman in this novel being portrayed as hard to get but at the same time so easy to convince, just tell them that MC is rich, super rich, extremely rich then they become Oh my gosh I'm so in love with this guy. Acting so mad and possessive when there are other women in the picture so they immediately throw themselves at the MC.. really.. each one of these women are portrayed like this!!All women in MC's harem: "He's extremely rich, handsome and so powerful, my ideal man, but I won't let him touch me, let him drool all he wants"As a woman, I don't mind reading harem stories as long as women in the story aren't portrayed as gold digger prostitutes disguised as pure lilies.. it's so degrading.. not that being part of a harem is degrading enough
Would love to read more. Good work with developing the characters. If you're new here and love books with a lot of action, this is the book for you.
The world, story and characters are great and quiet original for wuxia novel. Many culture are present among African, Chinese, Japanese and westerner. But the writing is really bad. Repititions and typing errors are common among other annoying things and sometimes the writing feels of, the characters know things they shouldn't or you feel you missed something that wasn't told.Honestly, I can't recommend this novel due to the writing that gets on my never. But if you are lenient on it, it's an excellent story with good characters.
There's this recurring theme about who holds power and who gets to make decisions about their own lives, and it shows up in so many ways in this section. The marriage edict itself is a powerful symbol — it represents the emperor's authority to grant or deny a union, but also Shen Zhaoli's autonomy. The fact that the emperor already gave her the edict long ago is significant. It means she has the power to choose, but Xie Yuheng is too blind to realize that. He thinks he needs the emperor's permission to marry her, when really she already has the authority. There's also the symbolism of the high platform at the banquet — it's not just a physical elevation, it represents social hierarchy and who gets to sit where. Su Qingxi wanting to sit next to the princess is literally about wanting to climb higher than her station. And then there's the contrast between the imperial palace and Sanhuai Alley. The palace represents formal power and political maneuvering, while the alley represents hidden truths and personal discoveries. Zhou Qingyun going to that quiet house at the end of the alley to investigate her father's secret is symbolic of seeking truth in places where power doesn't reach. The pear blossom couch that Old Madam Xie remembers is another small but meaningful detail — it was a gift from Shen Zhaoli, representing kindness and care that was taken for granted until it was gone. These symbols all tie together to show that power isn't just about edicts and platforms, it's about who sees clearly and who chooses to look away.
