You can find my new book Bad Boy Roommate on my profile :)
46 chapters 8-5-23
Dear ... readers, the book was re-edited of grammatical errors from chapter 1 to 51, and then from chapter 52, everything was changed.
If the book is already in your library, please remove it and add it back. Once you do that, you can start reading from chapter 52 and enjoy the rewritten chapters
Hey guys, just a quick update. I talked with my editor, and I will be getting the bonus chapter up on Halloween if I can get her to temporarily unlock the book long enough for me to upload it by then. Happy reading!
The novel is somewhat enjoyable during the early parts when the main character (MC) interacts with certain characters. However, the MC's behavior is highly problematic – they come across as an extreme doormat, almost to the point where it was almost unpalatable for me. The explanation provided for their submissive nature is attributed to their politeness towards nobility, but this lack of emotional depth borders on being one-dimensional. Without giving away any plot details, imagine a character who is constantly at risk of being manipulated or taken advantage of (NTR) in a hentai scenario, to the extent that it becomes uncomfortable to read about some of their interactions, particularly with Spoiler Takahisi.
In summary, this is a middling novel that serves as a decent distraction for mindless entertainment.
Spectacular summary, the tags give you more details than the summary
Someone really needs to stop this guy
Peak novel. romance doesn't play a major part in the plot in the beginning, but oh boy does it become a major plot point in later chapters
I just confirmed, thanks! although the chapters are a bit jumbled
While the series has its merits, it falls short in maintaining新鲜感 due to repetitive patterns in each battle sequence. The subject of adversity is prevalent, as character deaths are not uncommon.
One aspect that I can't help but comment on is the handling of the romance tag and the gender bender element. The advertised romance seems misleading, as the protagonist's feelings remain one-sided and unrequited throughout the story. There's no genuine romantic connection between the MC and any character.
Regarding the gender bender plotline, personally, I enjoy such narratives, but this particular one doesn't justify its inclusion, as it's barely relevant to the overall plot and doesn't see the MC experiencing any significant personal growth or transformation. The character's mindset remains consistent from beginning to end, without any noticeable change related to their gender identity.
This is the most captivating enemies-to-lovers story I've come across. I absolutely loved every aspect of it. Our protagonist, Zong Jiu, is a retired magician whose hands were injured in a car accident. He then finds himself in the body of a被迫参加无限循环惊悚训练游戏的 bookworm. This new setting presents him with an opportunity to heal his hands, experience excitement, and ultimately, fall in love.
The novel is truly exceptional, fulfilling all the criteria for a compelling enemies-to-lovers tale. It features a genuine villain who falls for someone both similar and different, which I adore. The author's writing style is consistently impressive, with vivid descriptions that transport the reader (except for one scene involving a car in a parking lot - the metaphors were a bit overwhelming).
I can't do justice to the story without recommending that you read it yourself, as the experience is unparalleled. It's essential to address a few misunderstandings mentioned by other readers, so reading the machine-translated version might require a second look for clarity.
In summary, I thoroughly enjoyed every part of the narrative and am eager for a physical copy. My favorite moments include the coffin scene, the Por Una Cabeza Tango sequence, and their emotional embrace amidst a crumbling world. These scenes beautifully capture the character development and their evolving relationship.
I'm definitely looking forward to revisiting this when more chapters are translated. It's a 5-star read for sure. Enjoy, and goodbye!
