However, what I don't like is that despite working for a wealthy villain, Ye Liuyun doesn't let the villain win over the girl he likes, which seems unfaithful to the servant code, as it's set in ancient China, not Rome. For these reasons, I can only give it a 3-star rating.
The series started strong, but unfortunately, the quality seemed to decline as it progressed, leaving me with a bittersweet feeling ? Despite that, the exploration of family dynamics, especially the portrayal of pain, trauma, and healing, was absolutely captivating – that's something I adored无比。 However, the villains felt one-dimensional ? They lacked depth and competence, relying on overly obvious plot devices to make them seem foolish. Her name is actually Rashta but let's face it - they're no longer Rashta and Soveishu - they're Trashta and Soveish*t. I am ECSTATIC this has entered the general lexicon as a description of someone. I want to say Trashta is technically a white lotus, but she's just ... yeah.

This one’s gotta be one of the weirdest novels I’ve ever read. And yes, “I’ve also read I am a Scarecrow and the Demon Lord of Terror”. The scarecrow novel has an insane demon Mc slaughtering and torturing everyone in his way, but at the very least, the novel follows a path. Compared to the scarecrow novel, this story doesn’t follow an understandable character development. It’s hard to describe how disturbing the MC is. The author clearly has a few screws loose to create a MC like this. I’ve seen my fair share of anti-heroes before, but this is different. The Mc is a twisted, pathetic man. I’ve only read 10 chapters so don’t judge me if anything changes. These are just my initial thoughts and should be taken with a grain of salt.
