What made her surprised was, originally, she had heard that it had been many years since anyone had lived in this manor, yet there were no weeds. Moreover, there did not seem to be any mess. It was as though someone taking care of it every day. It was a beautiful spring scene. Even the goldfish in the small pond seemed to be a healthy weight.
"You should try sitting with these two," Lucien added ludicrously, blond bangs hanging lowly over his eyes as he laped up on his first fudge-chocolate swirl.
He cheerfully said, "You are quite ruthless aren't you. Ok here is the full story."
The creature very much resembled the one he'd fought before, looking like a grotesquely overgrown bat that walked on its folded wings. However, this one's eyes gleamed with a cunning intelligence that clearly separated it from his previous enemy. As Mike looked at it, he could see the muscles of its neck and mouth contracting in a strange manner, almost as if it were speaking soundlessly.
"I am sorry. I should not have spoken so rudely. I was just worried for my sister, since she is not always feeling well." Vittoria apologized sincerely. Karl nodded and perhaps due to the scarfed girl politeness, he decided to just accept the apology.
