What I love most is how the author uses Xie Chengze's laziness as a weapon. He doesn't try to outmaneuver anyone. He doesn't scheme. He just... doesn't play the game. And that confuses everyone so thoroughly that the whole court system starts short-circuiting. The scene where the Ministry of Revenue minor official shows up asking for forty taels while high-ranking ministers are crowding outside like it's a royal event—this is comedy gold, but it's also a devastating critique of how the entire palace faction system works. The Rou Fei and Xi Fei angle is also fascinating. They're sending silver to buy Yun Duan Jin and Cang Hai Zhu, which the original host hoarded greedily. this story should be named: The Glory of The Evil Cecilia and Zach. Y the story so depressing and full of evilness? Just let go Madelyn and her lover, please! When the retribution get them? It is like no justice for the good! And 1 chapter per day??? seriously?
