Good book, worth your time

'Little brother, what food are you selling? Smells amazing!' — This single line of dialogue does so much work. It establishes the marketplace setting, introduces the product through sensory appeal, and immediately makes Yan Zihao likable as a character who's comfortable talking to strangers. The dialogue throughout these chapters has this effortless quality where you forget you're reading fiction because it sounds exactly how people would actually talk. The bargaining scene between Lu Qingran and the gray hemp clothing man is particularly good. 'Pork offal isn't worth anything; usually even given away no one wants it. Your price doesn't make sense.' And her response about seasoning costs and how one scoop feeds several people—that's not exposition disguised as dialogue. That's a real business negotiation between two people who understand their respective positions. But the dialogue that really stands out is between Lu Qingran and Yan Zihao in their bedroom. 'What I'm about to tell you may seem unbelievable, but please listen carefully. If you can't accept it, then please let me go.' This is a woman laying her entire existence on the line, and the dialogue is so direct and unadorned that it carries enormous emotional weight. No flowery language, no dramatic pauses described in narration—just pure, honest words. And Yan Zihao's response, cut off mid-sentence in the text, is perfect because it mirrors exactly how a real person would react when their entire understanding of reality just got turned upside down. The author's narrative voice is also worth praising. It's warm without being saccharine, observant without being pretentious. Lines like 'Her drowsy, cute appearance made Yan Zihao's heart skip a beat' are simple but effective. The prose gets out of the way and lets the characters breathe.

Chapter 39 is missing? The story is emotional roller coaster and I’m looking forward to new updates. I hope the author finishes the story in a reasonable timeframe, unlike some that is left hanging or some that keeps going on forever.

This book had me hooked first chapter. I have enjoyed seeing Liliths character progression from a weak \\"human\\" running from her fears to the stong woman now facing her fears. Hoping for a well written end that is not rushed to end.
I also can't wait update the story. As I remembered, author, you said in end chapter at \\"How to reject the alpha king\\" novel, it won't be a prequel story, so I assumed it's just a flashback. The question, how many chapter you create to describe their relationship?
